Question about GPS
The only thing i can think of is some power mangement issue. check that the two are on the same circuit. e.g. are secured with the same fuse, this may indicate bad connection of the fuse ensure the fuse connections are clean maybe spray some WD40 or equivelent contact spray on the contacts.
i know that you can put your side light on one side of you leave you indicator on when you switch off and remove the key, as a park light, depends on which side is left on for left or right side.
It maybe related to the trafficator/indicator sytem.
if not, then there seems to be a short circuit somewhere or perhaps a cable break.
has your vehicle been in a traffic accident in the past where the cabling has been repaired?
this repair may have broken. or a cable socket may have disconnected. check all cables in the engine compartment especially to the lights.
the next would be to take the car to a dealer and have them check it over as there maybe more than one problem.
I hope this was helpful.
