I do not know where the wirless switch is on my laptop Elitbook 2530p ???

Not working...means zero in troubleshooting. What keyboard, obviously what os-> that's where your problem is. NOT the keyboard. NOT the laptop.

I'm not 100% sure this will work but you might have to take apart the laptop to reSEAT the bios battery. Unplug it from the motherboard then plug it back in. Usually once those pre-windows passwords are locked in they're locked in for good.

What version of Windows are you using? You can open an on-screen keyboard and use the mouse to type in the password.

Just a quick one or two at the moment. Have to locate the problem then figure the fix sooooo..

1. Please refer to the photo: Note the 'hands', one at the top right and the other at the bottom right of the screen. With the power on and the computer in the normal ready to use mode....

What I suggest you do is hold the bottom right corner firmly, keeping it relatively immovable while, at the same time, GENTLY, and NOT completely, SLOWLY start bringing the top left corner down toward the bottom right corner, actually moving the top barely an eighth of an inch, flexing just a tiny bit...

If the display flickers then, hopefully, it is a loose display cable, usually a flat one that lies under the keyboard and need only be adjusted. a tedious but very inexpensive solution.

Another quick, albeit unlikely fault to check is your battery. I know, I know, it's so obvious but I have to ask: Have you tried using the computer from a DIFFERENT wall outlet, better still, at a buds house?

Let's get these two out of the way before moving on? Let me know! I'll look into recalls, frequent problems, etc....

There is wifi switch on laptop first turned it on. Make sure wireless network adapter driver installed and enable you can check it in device manager. Press Fn+ F5 key turn the wifi on. Then you can view available wifi networks. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.

The HP2530p buttons are "touch sensitive" and are located at the along the strip that the power switch is, touch the orange light and it will change to blue (on) this is the same for the volume screen etc, blue is on, orange is off, Just touch and play

Hello there!

I dont think it should be working like that, although you could read some forums about that type of laptop and see other people experiences. Try to clear sensors from dust just a bit, to fast a motion. Also do you use any drivers for that software under xp? there should be drivers for that hardware.

are you switching off, or just closing the lid? On most laptops, closing the lid just hibernates and constantly uses power, it can be changed in the control panel power options.

Usually one of the key (like F4) will say LCD or CRT under the F8. It will be in a different color. The FN key (or some other key) will also be this color.
Hold the Function key and then press F4 to toggle through the different display combinations.
