Chef EDC691S multifunction duo, after a power blackout the digital display for the timer flashes and upper oven will not work. Can we reset it?

The only reset is to pull the power plug for 5 min's, if that doesn't correct the problem you need a technician to come out.

Homeking oven hof605ss

Try turning off the circuit for a minute, then set timer again.
Often a little picture/icon of a "baking tray with heat" when timer is passing power on to the thermostat.
Also, those timers fail often enough, is the oven brand new (or recent blackout)?

The electric company did one of those blackout things. When the electricity came back on and we set the time, you can barely see the display. Everything else works fine.

Most likely the lcd will need to be replaced...there are 2 lights on the clock control board and what happens is the display light bulb goes out and it is soldered onto the board. if you have some circuit knowledge the light can be desoldered and a new one installed ,but if not you will have to replaced the clock assembly on the unit.... not sure what brand you have as you did not post... hit the parts direct link on the top of page and enter the model number and a parts diagram will come up and availability and price...

Hi, i have an old smeg oven that wont come on after a blackout last night..any ideas?

If it has a timer, make sure that it is set to manual, and not on auto, as it it will not come on if it is on auto, sometimes indicated by flashing display.

After a power blackout in our neighborhood the oven display showed a blinking clock time-still keeps time- which could not be reset. The soft panel does not respond to any setting to turn on the oven in...

Try turning the breaker to that unit off and keep it off for 20 minutes or overnight, if possible, then flip the breaker back on. If it still shows the PF code, call us and we can get the correct part to you. Hope this helps.

Not heating in fan forced mode

Possibly your fan element has blown. Try and take the cover off that coves the fan inside the oven itself and use a torch to look at the element to see if it looks out of shape etc.
