Question about HP LaserJet 3390 Printer
Try to print from the manual input tray just to finish your job.
Possible reasons are:
Blocked paper tray
Worn out pick up roller
Broken pick up roller shaft
Broken pickup assy driver shaft
Unhinged solenoid anchor
Separated double pickup gear
Try to print again from the first tray and listen if the solenoid is clicking and the roller is rotating. If yes, look for pieces of paper blocking the paper path where the paper goes up after the pickup. Also inspect the pickup roller. It tends to wear and needs replacement. You can easily remove the roller and inspect it (rotate the white plastic bearings). If worn out, you can turn the rubber with a thin screwdriver inserted between the rubber and the plastic to unworn area, as it is D-shaped and part of it never wears. It's temporary solution while waiting for the new roller delivery. Sometimes it breaks the connecting side after hard removal of a paper jam. Also inspect the black connecting rod that drives the roller. It can also easily break the same way. If none of these is relevant, probably the driving mechanism is bad and needs deeper dismantling. It consist of a solenoid and a double gear. Solenoid anchor tends to go out of the hinges. Just put it on place. The double gear tends to separate and a spring inside gets out of its way. Pull the spring to make it stronger, put it on place and close the gear. Make sure the gear will not separate by itself and assemble everything.

Try to perform the following steps in the mentioned order:
1. Verify that the media was inserted far enough into the input tray. In tray 2 (HP LaserJet 3390/3392 all-in-one), verify that the paper-length guide is in the correct position for the media size that you are using.
2. Reload the media in the input tray and press to continue the job.
