Question about Radio Communications
Your radio shouldn't be keying on it's own no matter where your SWR's are at. I would start simple by checking your mic plug, then inside the mic for cold solder joints, or shorts. Do this after you borrow a compatible mic and try the key-up. Just don't key very long before you get your standing wave ratio in check. I'm talking like 1 second.
