Do you have a manual for this machine?

You can download one from this website, I can't see a model called xscape but you might recognise it from the images.

http://www.babylock.com/downloads/manuals/

If you still can't thread it, then I would suggest you locate the Babylock dealer, give them a call and ask if you could bring it in when they are not busy and have some help with it or they may hold classes you could attend.

Like anything new, a bit of training always helps you to master a new skill.

since the machine is a babylock I suggest having the machine
serviced to see if the machine has a timing problem or some part
is out of aligment.

Babylock espire bobbin sensor not working

This is normally caused by lint in the bobbin area, the lint blocks the sensor causing it to be blind. Try cleaning the area and see if that helps.

I need a replacement manual for Babylock Xscape BL66

You will need to contact a BL dealer to order a manual, if any are available. This model has been replaced.

There is a threading guide in on the inside of the door on the front of the serger.

Raise the presser foot and set the tension controls to zero.

Turn the handwheel until the upper looper (curved looper) is at it's highest point - there may be a mark on the side of the serger and handwheel for aligning to this point.

Thread the upper looper first, then the lower looper, then the needles.

Pull the threads under the presser foot and to the left side of the serger.

Set the tensions back to 4 - 6 setting, lower the presser foot and stitch a chain before serging fabric.

You may be able to find a free manual download at the Brother website for a similar product.

Tension settings for the babylock sewing machine

I found that the tension setting of 1 worked. The main problem was the machine had thread wound around behind the bobbin. I had to take the plates that are under the foot out, clean out the thread, oil the machine and use a spool of thread that had more weight than the little spool I was trying to use.
