Open Question

I bought a Yellowstone pressure washer in 2006. The bolt that screws the hose in the spray gun handle broke in half. Can I just buy a spray gun handle for my Yellowstone pressure washer? If so, where?

SOURCE: High pressure hose connection blew up. Fix? or buy new?

Yes take it to napa auto parts and they can cut and attach a new end which are for hydraulics. They are crimped on and meant to hold very very high pressure. I used to use a pressure washer everyday for a living and it was a tractor rental/repair shop and we used the hydraulic fitting machine on the power washer hose all the time so rest assured.

SOURCE: can't get the spray gun onto the hose from the washer...no manual

Your posting is incomplete, so I'm not quite sure what we're dealing with here.  I understand the machine and the high-pressure hose are Karcher - right?  Is the gun also a Karcher part?  If all are Karcher parts, they should fit unless the screw threads have been damaged.  If they are not all Karcher parts, they will not fit because Karcher connectors are different from almost all others.
Please post again if this doesn't help, giving as much detail as possible, and I'll see what else I can offer.

I have a Yellow Stone APW-150a pressure washer bought in 2005. The hose is cracked at the fitting that attaches to the washer. Can it be replaced or repaired?

Though I have never heard of Yellowstone appliances, I am pretty sure there is a way to get replacement parts from the company spare parts department or from other sources who sell these pressure washers. If not, try the Internet, or try the Speed shops where they sell these to people who pressure wash their cars/trucks. I am also sure there are other hoses not necessarily for the Yellowstone brand but fit perfectly well on them. Find out where they sell other brands and take your washer to them, ask them if they can sell you a hose with the right connectors to fit your washer. No salesperson can refuse to sell you a good bargain.

My Honda pressure is stuck in low pressure mode. How can I get it into hogh pressure mode?

You should check your pressure washer without the hose on it to make sure the gun isn't clogged. If the unit still sprays at low pressure with the gun and hose removed then most likely your unloader valve is stuck open. You can lookup a parts breakdown for the pump on your unit and locate the unloader so you can remove it and clean and lightly coat it with silicone grease. Then a dozen quick load/unload cycles should help properly seat the unloader parts.

Oh...and if the unit does make full pressure with the gun and hose removed you should take the hose off the gun and see if there are any obstructions in it. Hard water, corrosion, stones....something needs to be cleared!

Take all safety precautions while handling your washer! Good luck!

I bought a honda pressure washer power boss 3000. I load the gasoline, start the machine, but pressure water is not coming out from the trigger. i tried so many things , but can t get started.

If you are using a water tank for water supply, remove the water supply line from the pressure washer and connect a water hose from a faucet. Turn the water on, then crank the engine. Pull the trigger of the spray gun until water comes out. When then water starts to spray properly the release the trigger, shut engine down with pressure on the line then reconnect the water supply from the tank to the pressure washer. If this fixes the problem then the problem was "air-locked"! Happens alot with new pressure washers that have never been run. Water goes thru. have hydrulic oil to level. gun semas to stick on. NOT GETTING ANY PRESSURE AT NOSSEL.

    Hydraulic oil?
    Is this a pressure washer?
Pump should be half full of SAE20 or SAE30 non-detergent motor oil.
Engine should have 10W30 motor oil.

If you have a pressure washer ... and not water is coming out end of gun:
    Take all hoses off machine.
Look at incoming water hose connection.
The should be a filter washer.
    Clean or replace filter washer.
Hook up water and turn on water.
Water should come out other side of pump.
Turn on power washer and see if water coming out of pump is pressurized.
Now hook up pressure hose without gun.
Turn on pressure washer and see if water comes out of hose and is pressurized.
Finally, the gun may be bad.
We used to replace guns when they went bad.

Sounds like the valve in the handle is sticking closed. May have a broken spring, or maybe a part is stuck..
I say take it apart, and the answer will present itself.. Play with it with nozzle out too... Maybe something is stuck after storing so long and will loosen up.. Fingers crossed
