My dirt devil keeps shutting off randomly

It's overheating. Empty the cup and replace the filters. There's a breaker that opens up and turns it off when it gets too hot. When it cools down it closes back up and it will run again. It'll argue with you til the end of time or until you fix the problem.

Good Luck

Hi. Press menu and you'll see the menu on screen. Go to options, highlight the runtime hours figure, and press and hold the "enter" button. The hours figure will change to "Power Off" which is what you do next, good luck!

I have a Panasonic PT-LM2U; when it is turned on, everything powers up fine but the image projected is upside down. I've looked through the menu but didn't see an option for flipping or rotating...

Every modern projector that I have seen has a setting that will allow you to flip the image for this.If you purchased it used it was probably configured as a ceiling mount in an upside down orientation or rear projection onto a translucent screen. (The projection method can be set from the "OPTION2" menu. in a Model LM1 so it should be similar.

If yours doesn't have this option, then you'll have to use mounts that require the projector to be upside down.

We have a Panasonic PT-D5600U DLP Projector, and the rear infrared sensor is not working. The front sensor works fine, but the projector is ceiling mounted, and we need to utilize the back sensor from the...

Hello: in most cases, front and back sensors are identical. Might even be those little boards, as well.
I've seen repeated problem with sensor board circuitry, not a IR sensor, itself. in my 2 cases, there was a faulty sms ceramic capacitor, twice at the same make and model of Phillips TVs. If you can handle safely open and close top part of projector's cabinet, you will see those 2 small pc boards, connected to control panel. To get a part#, go to "", then look for "support", then 'parts ordering". enter your model# and you'll find whole list of the parts for your set. You don't need any authorization to buy 2 little assemblies. Get 2! The other one will quit sooner or later! shouldn't cost too much, anyway.
Good luck,

How do you reset lamp hours back to zero on a Panasonic PT-D4000U projector?

When you remove one of the lamps, you're notice that there's a micro-chip build into the housing itself. Unfortunately there's no way of manually resetting the lamp hours, due to the chip. You'll need to replace the whole lamp assembly.

You might have bad solder joints on the vertical output IC. I do not know where it is located in this set only that it will be mounted on a metal heat sink near three wires that have identical plugs which go to the deflection yokes on each crt tube. Sets vary as to placement of vertical IC. Solder joints should be easily seen if you have good eyes or use a magnifying glass. I do know that the vertical IC will be on the board that has the highvoltage transformer on it (has big red wire). You may have to unplug the board and turn it to the soldered side or just turn the entire chassis up 90 degrees to see the connections. If this is not the problem I don't know how to get into the service mode at this time.Hope this helps
