Hello again Ann,

Its been a while.

Probably my fault for not having you make note of it. Not a big deal. BTW, a very smart person once told me, 'The only silly question is one you don't ask'.

It's basically the same procedure:

Do this:

  • Click START
  • Click Control Panel
  • Double-Click Display
  • Click on the Screen Saver Tab
  • In the Monitor Power box Click the Power Button
  • Under the Power Schemes Tab, in the Power Schemes box, Click the Power Schemes drop down menu.
  • Her you have some choices as to what works best for you. Try different ones to suit your needs. Click on 'Portable/Laptop' or 'Max Battery' (your selections may vary, but not by much)
  • At the bottom, Click on OK
  • At the bottom, Click on OK
If you need anything else, you know where to click!

How about a FixYa this time around?

Mike

I do not want my hotmail user name stored in Firefox. How do I delete it?

Hello. The best way is to open Firefox Browser, Click on Orange FireFox button in top left, Click on Options, Click on Options again. Click on Privacy, Click on History. There are 3 choices. If you do not want Firefox to remember anything, Select NEVER REMEMBER HISTORY so nothing is remembered or else use Custom Settings. That will open and let you choose what to remember or not. Click on OK when done.
Hope this helps..

How do I stop my laptop A3A from the screen going blank and loud music . I have to press any key to stop it and return to the programme I`m on. In 30 to 40 minutes this could happen 2 or 3 times Ann...

Hi Ann,

Laptops have options to prolong battery life that can sometimes be a bit tedious. No problem, to change the settings though.
Do this:
  • Click START
  • Click Control Panel
  • Double-Click Display
  • Click on the Screen Saver Tab
  • In the Monitor Power box Click the Power Button
  • Under the Power Schemes Tab, in the Power Schemes box, Click the Power Schemes drop down menu.
  • Click on 'Always On'
  • At the bottom, Click on OK
  • At the bottom, Click on OK
Keep in mind, after doing this, the conservation of battery power is no longer automatic. It's just as easy to change back, if necessary.

Any problems, additional questions click on the ASK button.
