1 Answer

Black Screen Was working on my toshiba yesterday evening and left it running. Came back this morning and had a totally black screen. Have tried several times to restartm the laptop (with battery in and out, and hooked up to an external monitor) and still get the dreaded "black screen of death"... when rebooting the intial screen comes on then Windows xp tries to load and then the screen goes black/blank. Any suggestions.

It is impossible to give you a a repair cost because I cannot identify the exact fault without looking and running tests on your laptop. I do not know the labour and parts costs in Malaysia.
I suggest you take your laptop to a computer repair shop and get a quote to fix your laptop.

Hi,
Try this,
There will be label covered or small wheel on the right hand side of the monitor which you can pull up or down in order to adjust the screen. Hope sometimes this moved up and so the screen changes to dark. Try to pull up or down to screen to ON.
Hope this works fine now!!
If this helpful, please give a testimonial and vote by pressing button four thumbs up icon.

Try this: Plug it out and remove the battery. Then insert the battery again, plug it in and try. If just black screen appears, your display may be dead and you need to replace it. If this helps, please rate. Thank you

Powers up but black screen

For that you need to refix RAM memory.
It is in back side of laptop.
check in back side you find 1 plate upon battery open it then refix RAM memory.
if still same issue then you have to reset bios settings for that open back cover of laptop then find motherbord pull CMOS cell from motherbord for 10 minutes so all settings goes to factory defaults.
Then check.
Let me know if you need more assistance.
Thanks.
