What you can try is insert your OS CD and reboot and when you get to the installation screen look for something that says repair my computer you should be able to restore it from there...

Need to restore to factory settings on a Eee PC 1005/1001 series

if you don't have the recovery disc, just keep pressing F9 on boot up and recovery software will be prompted to you. choose factory default settings then let it run and follow procedures. remember this will only be applied if your computer still have the recovery partition on you HDD.

Do you have anything on the laptop you need to keep? have you done backed ups of any files etc?

To do a factory restore
Press the F11 key when you turn on the laptop (may have to tap it several times)
Then follow the guided prompts to do a factory restore.

Alternate option to do a factory restore:
Press F8 when you turn on the laptop (may have to tap repeatedly)
a menu should come up
choose repair your computer
then select factory recovery/lg recovery?

From you Computer's Manufacturer, if available. Does you Laptop have a Recovery Partition? If so, you can do a Factory System Recovery.

Press the "Start" button in Windows Vista. Select "All Programs" and "Recovery Manager."

Click "Advanced Options."

Select "System Recovery." Click the "Next" button.

Click the "Restart" button when prompted by the on-screen instructions once the recovery is done.

After restarting the computer the system is back to its factory state.

Need to restore acer laptop to fatory setting for free

Just go to the 'help' screen from the 'start' menu and input 'recovery' console so that you can go to the factory settings for free. All data should be backed up before doing this, though, because 'recovery' brings the computer back to the way the computer was when it was new.

You'll also need the administrator password and be in the administrative account to do the 'recovery' console thing.

Can I do a factory reset on my Samsung Q30 Laptop

To factory reset your laptop, Run the Samsung Recovery Solution.

Select Start > All Programs > Samsung Recovery Solution > Samsung Recovery Solution.

If windows will not start you need the Recovery CDs.

WARNING !!! Be sure to back up an data you wish to keep, this procedure will wipe it out.
