Why does the water I put in the maker run out the bottom

Sounds like it has a leak in the tank or the hose. Unplug the coffee maker and turn it over. See if you can remove the bottom cover. Make sure the coffee maker has not been on and is cool to the touch!
Underneath will be a tube and heating element. Make sure the tube is connected to the water reservoir and that there are no holes or cracks in anything. It could be that someone dropped it and cracked the plastic somewhere.

There seems to be water leaking somewhere. the pucks used to be fairly dry and caked when they were dispenses but now it is wet and oozy. any suggestions?

Is it clean water or dirty coffee water?
If clean then there is a leak on the boiler or one of the water lines.
If dirty coffee water, then remove the brew unit and clean the small chamber under the white plastic valve.

Mr. Coffee CG13 12-cup coffee maker. Have used it

There is high temp tubing that may have come loose or become dammaged fromheat or the coil that heats the water may be leaking if you are using strong cleaning chemicals to remove scale from the unit. The bottom is held on with screws. Remove these and look to see what is the source of the leak.

Leaking from bottom

The bottom half should bolt to top half. After screws are removed, then you should be able to pull the bottom off and look for cracks, holes, or a bad gasket. You can always use silicone and seal it yourself

Remove the brew unit and check the little chamber under the white plastic valve that might be filled with coffee.

Water leaks out from underneath coffee maker

Well they don;t give these away for sure. Lets see if we can help you out. ? are you over filling it.This happened to me because I was reading the fill line wrong. {got new glasses} . If not may be you could try makeing less. But if only 1/2 cup comes out and no more, that wouldent indacate a leak in the tank, if there was it would all leak. Try backing off on the coffie and water, and see if it still leaks. if it does get back to me. DFD

I had the same trouble before and probable causes were:
