I cannot delete the file "noConnect.png" from

Thanks for the suggestion. I downloaded Unlocker, but it did not list the "problem" file as a locked file and there was no option to unlock it.

I'm surprised that there are so few references to this file online - it appears to be pretty rare - Just My Luck!

  • Mark Waterhouse May 28, 2011

Tried unlocker - no luck. I ran CCleaner - it deleted the file after the second scan. HOWEVER, the file returned when I rebooted the computer. I would suspect that I picked up a virus, but a Google search resulted in no other incidences of this problem. I would think that a virus would affect other computers and would show up in a search for "noConnect.png" and "virus".
    Thanks for your help.

Right click on noConnect.png and go to properties, go to security tab on the top, select advanced, go to owner tab and change owner to your own user name, click OK. On noConnect.png's properties click add and add your own user name. Click OK twice. Try deleting it again.

That is one of the many things I've already tried. Right-clicking on properties only gives me a "General" tab - no security tab. The general properties are: res://ieframe.dll/noConnect.png. After posting, I reinstalled WinXP using the Repair (not Recovery Console) option. It appeared to work, but the "noConnect.png" returned after loading Windows Updates.

  • Ahmet Cesur May 23, 2011

Interesting. try Unlocker program which should also help you deleting it.

Youtube not working in Arcade Deluxe

First, update your java runtime environment software to the latest version for here:
http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Then update your Adobe flash player software to the latest version.
For Internet Explorer you need this update:
http://majorgeeks.com/Adobe_Flash_Player_for_Internet_Explorer_d5163.html

For Firefox, Netscape, Opera and Chrome use this update:
http://majorgeeks.com/Adobe_Flash_Player_for_Firefox_Mozilla_Netscape_Opera_d7806.html

Then I would get CCleaner and delete all the junk files and temporary internet files off your pc. It's totally FREE and you can clean off the junk files and temporary internet files in a single click and it's super easy to use. You can get it here:
http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=5125

You should be set after that.
