Hello Inky, back in 2007 you offered a suggestion herehttp://www.fixya.com/support/t156648-paper_feed_problem on how to fixthe common Media Jam problem with the 2300DL by replacing the Solenoidassy. I want to replace this myself and found a parts list on the QMSwebsite. I am wondering if you know if this is the correct part numberthat is needed to fix this problem and if there are any other partsI'll need to make the fix:
8319321-2200-71 MC2300DL/50EN Solenoid $ 5.00
Taken for this website: http://www.qms.com/service/Parts_Information/mc2300/parts/mc2300_parts_list_by_part_number.asp
Thanks for your help!
My Konica Minolta 2300W will not pick up the paper from the tray and displays a paper jam error. Do you think the take up solenoid is the issue and if so where would I find the correct part # and supplier to correct the problem?
One thing you should try first, is open the paper width guides( paper loading tray), as if they are set too tight that will cause the paper not to lift up to the pickup roller. Delboy

For the first time Ive tried printing full pages of photographs only to find that there is about a 1" (2.5cm) band of faded print along the lenght of the page just right of center. Until now Ive only used it for text and small photographs. The image in the faded area is otherwise perfect - just perhaps 70% of the intensity of the rest of the image - ie its not caused by a scratch on the drum or a faulty belt. This happens irrespective of whether the image is printed in colour or monochrome ( ie its not toner related ) - although I have swapped out all the toners to be sure. I have also tried several different transfer belts and drums - Ive even replaced the secondary image roller. The laser window has been checked and cleaned. So whats left? I dont think its the fuser as I presume this will result in toner not sticking to the page and rubbing off. Only other thing I can think of is the laser unit itself. Im at a loss - can anyone help? Thanks Gareth

Konica Minolta 2300w misfeed... Printer was working fine. No problems with misfeeds. Black toner replaced. Printed three pages OK with new toner in place. However now there is a permanent paper misfeed. The paper passes through the ?transport rollers? but does not get as far as the ?synchronising rollers?. Leading edge of paper appears to stop at the `synchronising roller sensor? (small transparent window?? embedded in a hinged flap which is located directly below the synchronising rollers). Any suggestions on what the problem might be would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Konica Minolta 2300w Printer for the last 3/4 years, the print quality/density has always been very good, until yesterday, after changing a toner cartridge the problem started, the printed text and images are faded, and the density of solids are as if they are washed out. Firstly the printed sheets had a foggy background, a friend told me to empty the toner recycling box and use a vacuum cleaner to take away any remaining toner from the transfer belt that might have built up, I did this and it helped with the foggy background alot, but still printed faded. I replaced all c/y/m/k toner cartridges but the problem still exists, the OPC Drum reads at 30%, unfortunely I scratched it a little when taking it out, I have ordered another new one, would this help with image density? I have checked the setting on the computer for the printer and they are all OK. Please help if you know how I can fix this problem, as I'm totally lost without this printer, I use it every day for work and that work pile is getting bigger and bigger.
