I need help taking apart my panasonic toughbook cf-48. I need to remove the cd drive. I think that will be the final step. I'm having trouble figuring out how to take it out.

- Thanks for the help! I managed to get it apart and the screws were visible when you take the hard drive out. Every single piece is out of that computer now... My dad wanted to replace the power jack. So I hope I remember how to put it back together!
CD drives usually slide out after removing one or two screws. Usually the screws are under the keyboard or come up from the bottom of the unit. I would suspect that you will see it under the keyboard.
The keyboard is usually held in place by a few screws at its top. You will most likely have to pry off the plastic button cover that spans the top of the keyboard to get to them. Some keyboard are also fastened through the bottom of the unit by a few screws.

- I suggest to people that they take a lot of pictures as they take a notebook apart, that way they have a guide when putting it back together.

The electricity went out for about 2 hours. When it came back on, the computer would not turn on. No lights, no beeps, just dead. My router runs through that computer, and it is still working. Is it possible that it could be the power supply? I am hoping it is that simple. Thank you!
