Check the wiring harness (if used) for complete connection into the unit, or check all of the wires to make sure you didnt miss one while installing the unit. another thing to do might be to find a wiring diagram for your year, make, and model car and check all of the wires.

the guy at best buy who did mine effed it all up with which wires go where, but the rest of the job was pretty bangup. if you cant get it fixed yourself, i recommend them.

I need to know what to put the frequency at for my subs... they are 2 12" kicker comp's

40 - 45 Htz is the usuall. It really depends on the music you listen to. They are built to handle a little more mid bass. Where they are located, power supplied, direction the subwoofer is facing will all have an effect on what you need to set it at. My suggestion is follow the basic steps in setting up your amp. 1. turn your amp gain all the way down. 2. turn your radio volume to 75% of max. 3. start turning up the gain until you obtain the sound you want. You want to do this so your don't "clip" the sub. Kicker is good, but the comps can only handle so much before they start popping. This will heat up the voice coils quickly and cause them to fail prematurely. Hope this helps.

Good Morning, I have a alpine stereo in the car that i puchased used. The problem that i'm having is we can't turn it off. We had to take the face plate off to get it to stop playing the power...

You might want to check to see if the face and the chassis are the same model. If not, that is probably your problem. Very few alpine faces and chassis' are cross compatible.

When i bought my van tere was no remote to dvd player and light comes on but no power to dvd player

turn on the ignition switch & check every fuse [ in the passenger compartment & in the fuse/relay power distribution box in the engine compartment ] using a circuit tester or fuse tester of some kind. most vehicles these days have test points facing out so the fuse may be tested while it is still in the fusebox. there should be power on both sides of the fuse, power on one side only, the fuse is blown

I just bought 2 12 incch explodes the xs-l126p5 modle and i have a 1000 watt explode amp xm-1652z modl. in a bandpass box. it dont sound the way i expected to. if you can help...

Did you have it hooked up by a professional or did you (or someone you know) do it. If a shop/pro didnt do it make 100% sure everything is hooked up right. Increase the size of your power wire from your battery to the amp. Check your gain settings on the amp. If the vehicle you have this in has a trunk (not a hatch back), position your speakers against the back seat facing you as your putting them in the trunk. If none of this works, buy bigger speakers and more power!

I have installed a Venturer Stereo car cd player and not getting any power when I put the front face on.

you need to check your fuses in case one blew out, try turning the lights on as the same time as it is quite common to get the lighting wire confused as a power wire and also check the connections from the faceplte to the stereo

What size enclosure (sealed)for Alpine 12"1242D(METAL Music)

  • 12" subwoofer with dual 4-ohm voice coils
  • Kevlar reinforced pulp cone with Santoprene™ rubber surround
  • cast aluminum frame with perimeter venting
  • frequency response: 25-500 Hz
  • power handling: 200-500 watts RMS (250 watts per coil)
  • peak power: 1,500 watts
  • sensitivity: 85 dB
  • top-mount depth: 7-5/8"
  • sealed box volume: 0.57-1.0 cu. ft.
  • ported box volume: 0.75-2.0 cu. ft.

  • For rock, i actually have 2 seperate 12's in slot port boxes i built facing forward. Facing forward reduces a little resonance and spl, but keeps alot of that annoying rattle off your tag lol

    Hope this helps :)

Detachable face plate for DEHP47DH on and off buttons and other function buttons not working.

make sure the connections are clean on face plate and base make sure no grease or anything like that failing this then contact the makers or even place of purchase usually as long as you have the face plate and the whole unit they will replace the face for free but you might need to show them both as stolen ones people were getting the face for free so they stopped this so get in touch with makers or even place of purchase they should replace for you.

    How old is device?

Have you tried pushing the face in whilst pressing it on further just in case the connections are not touching.

    Do any buttons work?
