Safety First, Unplug Dryer. There are two thermostats in the dryer. They are on the exhaust tube that houses the burner element and the ignitor. One is on the top half of the exhaust tube near the dryer wall and the other is on the bottom half of the exhaust tube toward the center of the dryer. The one on the bottom half of the exhaust tube in the one with the reset button.pull off right access port cover, look in and left for thermostat hanging down off of exhaust tube. Press button between the two wires going to thermostat. It is a 3 minute operation if you can get to the right side access port. hope this helped Tim

I would measure the resistance of each thermostat to see if it is open. Also inspect the ignitor's ceramic (dark grey in spiral pattern) crack due to aging. In my case, the ignitor was bracken and the part number is 5318EL3001A. You can also find free service manual by online search. You will need to follow the procedure to get at the front bottom below the drum. Jack

Model DLG2532W no heat, lint not an issue, circuit breakers OK, gas service OK. What could be the issue?

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. No Heat issue in dryer is usually caused due to three things mainly: Thermal Fuse, Wiring Harness and/or Heating Element. Start with checking the Thermal Fuse which ismounted inside the back cover panel to the exhaust duct and is mounted in white plastic housing. If thats fine then the Heating Element should be checked. Please do revert for further assistance.

Thanks

LG DRYER DLG2532W GAS

Dryer doesn't get hot. Replaced all the sensors and still it doesn't get hot. Doesn't get hot in any mode. All vents are clear. I'm thinking that maybe there may not gas getting ignited, but I know nothing about gas stuff and am not sure if thats the problem. Any ideas of what I should be looking at next?

HOW TO INSTALL THE BELT ONTO A LG DRYER MODEL DLG2532w

Connect Gas Supply Pipe
(Gas Dryer ONLY)
For further assistance, refer to section on Gas
Requirements.
1. Make certain your dryer is equipped for use with the
type of gas in your laundry room. Dryer is equipped at
the factory for Natural Gas with a 3/8” N.P.T. gas
connection.
2. Remove the shipping cap from the gas connection at
the rear of the dryer. Make sure you do not damage the
pipe thread when removing the cap.
3. Connect to gas supply pipe using a new flexible
stainless steel connector.
4. Tighten all connections securely. Turn on gas and
check all pipe connections (internal & external) for
gas leaks with a non-corrosive leak detection fluid.
5. For L.P. (Liquefied Petroleum) gas connection, refer
to section on Gas Requirements.
