How do you set the timer on a 1996 hot tub? It has an old timer with things (prongs) that you have to push/pull?!

These types of timers were used and are still used for many different devices. The dial represents the clock and you pull or push for the hours you want the device to run during the 24 hour clock. For a hot tub you will want circulation for at least 4 - 6 hours a day. To circulate but also to maintain the heat. With a good hot tub cover and good insulation inside the tub your circulating time would be less and save you some money. Hope that helps. 6f0fd63b-b068-4b09-9479-fc1b67bc8e93.jpg 29c9802b-b80d-438e-9f6a-66c31c024fd8.jpg

I have an old "Intermatic Time-All." I no longer

Most time-all timers have two different trippers on dial.
Push down and rotate tripper to desired ON time and OFF time.
Then manually rotate dial until current time lines up with a mark or arrowhead.

To replace timer with new one:
Buy TN311c with 3 sets of on-off trippers that push onto dial, and 3-prong outlet.

Buy TN111c with 2 sets of on-off trippers, and 2-prong outlet

I cannot set my GE timer--15119----I have no instructions and have tried many times---I can't believe how difficult this timer is to set----

Here's what I found.
Pull up all of the little pins around the dial.
Push down all pins for the time that you want the light to stay on.
Leave pins up for all time that you want the light to stay off.
Rotate the dial to the current time of day.
Plug timer into wall.
Plug light into timer.
Ensure light is ON.

Two out of three of my timers have jammed up. the timer does not turn at a certain point without forcing it. they are like 2 weeks old. can I fix this or should i just change brand

I test timers.
4-6% arrive defective >>> and most last less than a year. But some last a long time.

Plug-in timers are made cheaper today.
Inside the timer is small clock motor that rotates plastic gears that rotate time dial.
Plastic arm rides along the time dial.
When segments or pins are up-or-out, plastic arm moves back-n-forth and opens and closes electrical contacts.

If motor is not able to turn the dial, then motor is overheating and is in downward spiral.
They don't make replacement motors for inexpensive plug-in timers.
So you need a new timer.

Amazon has interesting page that shows wide selection:

How do you set the timer? It stays on after it has been tripped "off"

15004 timer with 2-prong polarized outlet is carried by Amazon
1 reviewer said OFF pin broke soon after timer was in service.

Jasco does not have 15004 manual posted yet,.
I looked yesterday, and will continue searching.

15004 timer operates by putting green and red trippers in place at times you want timer to turn on-off.
Motor rotates clock dial as time passes.
Plastic trippers located on outer edge of dial contact a lever.
Trippers flip lever back and forth.
On tripper flips lever one direction.
Off tripper flips lever other direction.
Lever closes and opens electrical contacts that turn lights on-and-off.

Since this $7.35 timer is made of plastic, and has trippers, it will break easily. Which is confirmed by Amazon review.

GE markets heavier duty timer that costs more.
This type of timer has segments located around edge of dial.
When segments are down, lights are ON
Lever rides along segments until a segment is pulled up.
When segments are up, lever springs inward which opens electrical circuit and turns lights OFF.
This system is more reliable than trippers, and timer lasts longer.
But it's still made of plastic.

Woods markets similar 3-prong timer.

I need to use the Globe electric timer, tonight. Could someone tell me -- 1) which teeth/switch do you flip up and 2) does the time first cut off light and then switches it on or the other way round

Plug in timer and plug in light, and make sure lamp is turned ON.
Pull up a few segments, and then manually rotate timer dial around to see if segments-up = ON or OFF.

USUALLY ... when segments are UP timer is OFF, except with some GE timers.
You posted under Globe 2-pack which looks very similar to Woods 51419 2-pack.

I have woods lighting timer model 59200 and can not program it. every I set the time according to the instruction light stays on. What I am doing wrong?

See Woods timers:

Are you sure about that model number?
59200 is a plug-in dial-type timer.
Timer does not have a light.

The dial is rotated to set current time.
And segments located around dial are pulled up and pushed down to set timer function.

Add a comment with description of your so I can locate manual and help.

Hello I lost my instructions for theej351c, can you help?

1. Move control lever to OFF-CLEAR for at least 5 seconds; red indicator light will go
off, and all previous time settings will be cleared from memory. (If timer fails to set, leave in off
position for 15 minutes.)
2. Move lever to ON. RED INDICATOR will start FLASHING.
3. Check a clock; then rotate time dial clockwise at least one click, stopping at the half
hour nearest to present time. NOTE: When rotating time dial, do NOT accidentally PRESS at
the same time. (While rotating dial, keep pressure, pulling out on the dial to avoid accidentally
setting an incorrect time.)
4. Press pushbutton once to enter present time. RED INDICATOR will go OFF, present
time has now been recorded.
5. Rotate time dial clockwise to desired ON time; RED light will PULSE momentarily
with each click.
6. Press pushbutton to enter ON time; controlled light(s) will turn on.
7. Rotate dial to desired OFF time.
8. Press pushbutton to enter OFF time; controlled light(s) will now be off.
9. Repeat Steps 5-8 for each addition ON/OFF period.
10. Continue to rotate time dial for at least 24 hours from the first ON time to complete
this program, at which time the RED INDICATOR light will come ON and stay ON,
indicating timer is in AUTOMATIC mode. NOTE: Dial does not rotate automatically
after setting to indicate time of day.
