Did you turn the PC off at the switch if it has one or unplug it? When you do this you need to wait a bit and then try turning it back on. If you can get on, go immediately and undo the restore.

What was the reason for the restore? Please explain a little further and we will try to figure this one out.

Let us know.

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error} 0xc0000034 0x00000000 0x00000000 HELP?!

This is not an easy one to deal with if you don't have some things like a boot disk. The error is most likely caused by something that was installed or restored wrong. The best windows option is to use F8 and select last known good config. Then if it starts you can uninstall any software that you added just before this error..IF you cannot do that then you need to be able to boot to a separated disk and use file utilities to remove any programs that might be causing this.

Blue Screen Stop Error Code C000021a {Fatal System Error}

This article is intended for advanced computer users. If you are not comfortable with advanced troubleshooting, you might want to ask someone for help or contact Technical Support.

When you use a server or a workstation that is running one of the operating systems that is listed in the "Applies to" section, you may receive the following error message: STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000034 (0x00000000 0x0000000)
The system has been shutdown. Note The parameters in parentheses are specific to your computer configuration and may be different for each occurrence.

CAUSE:

The STOP 0xC000021A error occurs when either Winlogon.exe or Csrss.exe fails. When the Windows NT kernel detects that either of these processes has stopped, it stops the system and raises the STOP 0xC000021A error. This error may have several causes. Among them are the following:
  • Mismatched system files have been installed.
  • A Service Pack installation has failed.
  • A backup program that is used to restore a hard disk did not correctly restore files that may have been in use.
  • An incompatible third-party program has been installed.
The most effective way of resolving this issue is through:

Last known good configuration load
If the previous steps in this article do not resolve the problem, start the computer by using the last known good configuration. To start the computer by using the last known good configuration, follow these steps:
Note
Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps.
  1. Click Start, and then click Shut Down.
  2. Click Restart, and then click OK.
  3. Press F8 at the indicated time:
    • For an x86-based computer: When a screen of text appears and then disappears , press F8. (The screen of text may include a memory test, lines about the BIOS, and other lines.) There may also be a prompt that tells you when to press F8.
    • For an Itanium architecture-based computer: After you make your selection from the boot menu, press F8. There may be a prompt that tells you when to press F8.
  4. Use the arrow keys to select Last Known Good Configuration, and then press ENTER.

NUM LOCK must be off before the arrow keys on the numeric keypad will function.
  5. Use the arrow keys to highlight an operating system, and then press ENTER.

Thank you for choosing FixYa! Have a good one. A 4 thumbs up and a comment will be greatly appreciated.

Skype fatal error

What sort of error ? are you able to start your computer ?
Restart your computer repeatedly tapping the f8 key to enter safe mode while the screen is black once in safe mode where the only things working will be your keyboard and mouse allowing you to attempt to repair your computer
you could select the option start at last known configuration that worked this will tell you if and what file has been corrupted or missing then you will know if its a hardware issue and
work your way through the problem
if the problem still persists f8 back into safe mode you might need to select your operating system to load into safe mode
If you want to know what this is the error code is related to

Click start control panel administrative tools computer management then select event viewer this may vary depending on what operating system you have
extend the events there you will see errors in red you will no what exactly what the error was and at what time it occurred
or click start type in event viewer press ENTER
you might be able work your way through the problem
or
you might use the system restore to restore your system to an earlier time click start all programs accessories system tools you should see your system restore option if it is a hardware issue the system restore might not work Manual restore points that you specify with the System
Configuration utility Installation restore points that occur before you install a program or a service
you can use the system checkpoints or the installation restore points to restore your computer's settings to a date when it operated correctly. This may also help determine the cause of the configuration error.

To perform a system restore, follow these steps:

1.Click Start, click Run, type msconfig, and then click OK.
2.On the General tab, click Launch System Restore.
3.Select Restore my computer to an earlier time, and then click Next.
4.Calendar dates in bold are possible restore points. Click the most recent one to view system restore information.
5.Select a system checkpoint or an installation restore point, and then click Next.
6.Close all other programs.
7.To start the system restore, click Next.
8.Your computer restarts.
Repeat steps 1 through 8 until you fix your configuration issue.

If the problem is hardware related the system restore might not work .?

Compaq Preario V5245eu cant get past scrolling xp window just restarts and doesn'r get anywhere have had a c000021a fatal error warning- help please Rodger

If you attempt to install a piece of hardware or software on your PC computer that is incompatible with your system, you may see a blue screen with a C000021a fatal error warning. The easiest way to recover the Windows operating system from this type of error is to restore your computer to a previously working state.
1.Press the "F8" key on your keyboard when prompted during the boot process.

2.Use the up-and-down arrow keys to highlight the "Last Known Good Configuration" option. Then hit "Enter.
3.Use the up-and-down arrow keys to highlight the operating system version that you wish to boot up to, and then hit "Enter" again. The system will now restart to the last working version of your operating system, which will eliminate the C000021a fatal error.
Hope this helps
