Ed27dsxdw01 side by side fridge

The freezer works fine but the refridgerator part is not cooling

I had this "problem" for a little while. Thought I was gonna trash the fridge and start over anew. Turned out I had a bag of greens sitting up along the top left side of the fridge that was blocking the vent where the air from the freezer side blows in to cool the fridge side. Clear off the top left side of your shelf to start with (would be good if they included this "tip" in the owner's manual).

If freezer is frosting up, check fan. if fan is not working in fridge the freezer will ice up and the fridge will not get cool air.

The freezer coils are iced up and that is blocking the sir flow to the fridge.... You have a defrost problem and that is causing the refrigerator to be warm...

MAYTAG REFRIDGERATOR NOT COOLING

Check to see if the evaporator fan is blowing. Sometimes removing the back panel to expose the fan and hand turning it can make it come back on. If this doesn't work then the fan is bad. Also make sure that there is good circulation to the fridge side. Food can sometimes block air flow.

The fridge doesn't cool anything

There is a damper that allows air into the frig side to cool it. There should be a tech sheet in the toe grill with a diagnostic to check the damper operation.
