Sounds like good old fashion factory defect, it is a physical problem inside the number pad, I would lake it back for an exchange.

The Sum of 2 integers from 1 to 9 that are four consecutive numbers. Show that either one or three of the numbers on the counters were even

I need some help here. If we take the sum of 2 integers from 1 to 9, and they can be the same number, the maximum number is 18. I don't know how you are supposed to get four consecutive digits, unless you pad the number with zeros. Am I missing something?

Good luck,

Paul

Hi I have a panasonic KX-T433 phone system which I am trying to put in speed dial numbers, we have to dial 9 to dial out does any one know how to do this using a 9 in front?

You have neither a 7730 (the category you asked in) or a 7433 phone sytem. If your phone is really a 7433, you have a TD phone system. Which "speed dial numbers" are you trying to program? System speed dials, are stored in system program 001 and consist of a 3 digit number (may be 2) with a "9" in front and the number as you would dial it from the keypad. Personal speed dial numbers depend on the button you're programming it onto. If it's a button with a light, you dial "2" in front of it. If not, you don't. So, Program 99, button, and either 29 + number STORE or 9+number STORE programs a personal speed dial.

There are other programs to store under the tone pad keys. Those features are covered in your User's manual for the TD system.

Only the numbers 9 and 8 seem to work on the number pad. Any suggestions?

Possible key pad failure and replacement will fix it.
Contact the manufacturer to gain a contact number for spares and availability.
Hope that helps.

Mac does not recognize my retractable number pad

Maybe it is not recognized by the MAC operating system. Just download driver associated with MAC operating system and install it. Some hardware need software driver to be able to work. Some just plug and play.

Key pad doe not work

This means the number lock is on - in the upper right hand corner of the keyboard is a series of 4 keys.  Far right is delete, then (from the right) insert, Prnt Scrn, and Num Lk.  Hit the Num Lk key, and the number 9 with the padlock should shut off.  Your keyboard should now work normally.
Any more problems, let me know!

GE Retractable USB Number Pad doesn't "Plug n Play"

I would take it back if it did not come with a driver. any hardware device is useless if the operating system does not know how to operate it, and if XP has no native driver support for it, then it will need a driver on a disc, and if there was no driver software for the device, then the device is of no use to you. But, I would look for any "number pad" driver and give it a try.

Labtec USB Number Pad for Laptops with 2 extra USB Ports

I bought this number pad and had the same problems.

I found this fix. download this from the labtec site. http://www.labtec.com/pub/techsupport/keyboards/usb_numpad_for_notebooks_1.0v.exe This worked and the number lock off changed from grey, number lock off to, yellow number lock on and back again.

This appears to be a later driver update.
