This one should be a very close match. The T4508 is a foreign version of the T4500.

SOURCE: New walkie talkies wont stay charged and wont

It's really hard to tell what's going on without more information, but it sounds like your two problems are really one; that is, the shutdown is due to low battery power. If you have a voltmeter you can check the charger output and the battery voltage when fully charged. My bet is that the batteries are no good, so they are not taking a full charge and are discharging rapidly. Try new batteries in one of the radios and see if that solves the problem.

SOURCE: walkie talkie symbol stuck on cannot remove it

The symbol you are describing indicates you have the radio on HI power. It will not go away unless you reprogram the radio to LOW power, or change to a low power channel. One of my Floureon XF-388 Walkie Talkies is not making sound. The volume is all the way up, and the batteries are fully charged. No sound is coming out.

Use the external talk/listen speaker/microphone. You get audio your internal speaker or connection is bad. Still no audio the audio power circuit is bad. Find a electronic tech & ask for a repair. Good luck.

My Uniden walkie talkie keeps saying L very time I push a button

You've set the keylock feature on your walkie talkie. From the Uniden manual...

KEYLOCK

ON/OFF Press and hold the call/lock key until the "L" appears. After 1 second, the LCD will return to the channel display. To exit Keylock on mode, press and hold call/lock again. Note: While in keylock on mode, it will still receive transmissions.

Walky talky

A walkie talky as we called them, back when we were younger - and hell we probably still do in some respects, hence the fact my friend still refers to her cordless phone as a "walkie talky" and the principals haven't changed that much.

The common old Walkie Talky or CB radio use what we call a half duplex, that means only one person can talk at a time. We are talking and listening on the same channel.

Cell phones are full duplex, meaning two way conversation, and this is simply listening on one channel whilst talking on another, so the basic principal is basically the same, just a little more sophisticated.

Walkie-talkie typically has one channel
CB radio has 40 channels.
Cell phone
can communicate on 1,664 channels or more!

I have included a link to a circuit diagram.

There is also two links below, building the transmitter & receiver.
