SOURCE: duo therm ac problem
Yes they are a closed system, and most places don't want to be bothered with cutiing the line, soldering in a fitting for refill, and then find out there is a big leak somewhere, that can't be detected until you waste the freon etc. Have you owned the RV since new, and are sure it did work good before? Have you tested the temperature difference ? For example, they are really only designed to remove moisture from the inside air, as well as cool the inside air (ambient) to about 20 degreesF, below the outside temperature. Has the condensor coils/fins & evaporator coils/fins, been thoroughly cleaned recently? If they are plugged, it can significantly reduce cooling ability of the unit.
SOURCE: AC changes temperature by itself!
If it's not some sort of built in economizing feature, someone else isn't getting up and changing the temperature while you are asleep and the air conditioner fairy is playing tricks, then the control PCB is in need of repair and will have to be repaired through a sears authorized repair center.
I am a bit surprised that it will allow you to set the temperature to a low 70 degrees as this is pushing the limits of an air conditioner. They tend to freeze the coils at around that temperature.
SOURCE: hello, I have a Kenmore 580.75124500 ac/heater
It is probably the compressor. You will need to check if the compressor is being called to come on. Do you hear the compressor running? If you do, I would remove the unit from the wall or window, and wash it down real good with a hose being careful not to get the electronics wet. If not and the unit sound different than it did before, it's probably time to buy a new one.
SOURCE: window ac unit is not blowing cold air
When the unit is running, go outside and put your hand near the condenser fins, this air that comes out should be slightly warmer than the ambient temp. If it is not you will need to take the unit out of the window and out of its outer case and clean the condenser fins from the inside, this is no easy task as it is very hard to reach. You will want to get a small (toothbrushed sized) brass bristled brush with a long handle. Make sure the evaporator coil (in the front) recieves the same attention and wash the mesh filter that goes in front of the evaporator. Re- assemble and enjoy the cold air.

The problem with window units and any service tech will tell you it cost more to repair than you can buy at Walmart or home depot. Unless you know someone who can charge it for you. Window units are a sore subject. A 200 dollar window unit might cost 200 dollars to charge system. SORRy rusty
