Question about Kitchen Ranges

How to get a broken screw out, so that we can replace the belt on maytag neptune washer? Do you have pictures of this? My neptune washer is a mah3000 it was purchased in 1998. It stopped working the other day. It would not spin, so when we took the back off, the belt fell off, and so did the screw that hold's the belt on.

The screw that turns the main pulley. This is the screw that you see when you take the back off. It goes in the middle of the wheel that turns the drum.

the only thing i can tell you is there are easy out tools you can buy to try and get it out or drill it out and then get a tap and die kit so you can screw in the next size screw but i don't think this is gonna be easy to do.

Hello, The earlier Maytag Neptune front loaders have a balance ring on the inner tub that has liquid in it and that causes the sloshing sound when you turn the tub by hand. That is normal.

I noticed that you have a MAH3000... Have you replaced your door latch wax motor yet? If not, it will fail and damage your control board located behind the timer. See NeptuneHelpSong for a video that explains the failure.

I hope this helps...

Sometimes there is water that fills in my washer after I use it. It does not happen right away but by the next day. I don't know the model but I do know this is an old washer....gold....I have had it for...

Q - My washer seems to keep filling  with water, the water keeps coming in the washer and going out the drain without the washermotor running.
A - This often is a drain hose that is too low or a drain hose that has been pushed too far down inside the stand pipe....the water is actually siphoning out of the washer. Do not "seal" the drain hose to the house plumbing pipe, this will also allow the water to be siphoned out.

I've had the same problem with a Neptune MAH3000. I replaced the mother board to no avail. I replaced the timer control to no avail. I then replaced the door lock assembly (wax motor, door switch, etc.) and problem solved. Luckily, I had another machine that I could rob parts from.

check to see if the door boot is intact. if there is a hole in it water could be getting to the motor control board and you are in danger of shorting the machine out. the other possibility is the main computer board may be on its last legs and is doing a slow sizzle
