Ur video board have burn parts,the board that connected to the CRT long neck tube.Must trouble shoot replaced parts.or change the whole board.

Thomson tv repair


Flashing red indicates internal shutdown due to fault protection.
Only a tech can diagnose the fault (and hopefully repair it).

Thompson 52jw643 is stuck in standby, when switch on red led appears, changes to yellow for approx 1-2 sec, sounds like trying to start and reverts to red. sometimes flashes red once. any help greatfully...


I have a similar problem with Thomson 52JW643 S in that it takes at least 12 to 16 attempts before it eventually turns on very very annoying !!!!!!! turns from red to yellow to green then back to red and then same again until she feels like switching on then perfect picture sound and quality ??????? can any one advise please

hi there, red light flashing means a shorted parts on the unit, do some test, check the horizontal sec, check the FBT if ok else buy a new one. ty

You will need to see if SAP is turned on and the turn it off. Then go through with your setup procedures.
