Inside there is a thermal fuse, that might be activated, because the cooling of the lamp did not happen after the power surge.
You need to remove the upper cabinet to reach, but do this very carefully !!

if there are no leds on the top, replace the power supply. if the leds are on and the fans are running, it may be the colorwheel or the ballast.

Try cleaning the IR port on the projector (and the remote itself). These can get enough of a dust layer build up that they can't "see" the infrared signal being sent.
