You will need to open up the dryer, make note of the belt routing and remove the drum as the drum rollers/glides are bad, here is a website. Hope this helped Tim:

you might have something in the blower wheel. it is common to have something fall down the vent and the blower wheel is hitting it.

New dryer makes a loud thumping full or

I hope he did nt charge you. Because of the seam in a dryer drum, they do make a slight thumping noise but it should not be real loud. I hope the tech took the dryer apart and checked the rollers. One of them may have a flat spot.
I would ask for a factory represent ive to come out and see if they think they would want a dryer in there home that make that much noise.
Please rate solution

Whirlpool gew9200lw1, dryer does not heat everything checks out ok, replaced electronic control worked for a day then stopped working please help. The sensor and wire harness reads a short and no...

if limit switch has no continuity than it is bad,the heater will not come on.before you change the switch you nead to make sure that you do not have a blockage in your vent hose, make sure vent hose is clear from dryer to outside vent.a blockage in the vent hose will cause the high limit switch to go bad.

Dryer vibrates with exhaust hose attached

Doubt this has anything to do with the drum replacement. Your model has an independent variable speed blower motor (not linked to the motor which turns the drum) and speeds up when it senses a vent restriction. You may have a problem with the vent motor or blower wheel, or just a vent restriction issue.

Whirlpool GEW9200 dryer makes loud whining noise...

It might be metal on metal. It is possible that something worked it's way from inside the drum it between the drum and the rest of the dryer. There's just a couple of srcews that holds the back and top on to the dryer. Take them out after un-plugging the dryer, and consider plugging it back in and running it to see if you can here where the squeek is coming from.

Dryer is making loud thumping noise.

Take off the back panel of the dryer and look at the motor and belt turning the drum. There may be something caught on the drum and is pinned in place causing the noise. The motor could be loose on the platform and needs to be tightened. It is probably something physical and seen causing the noise.
