Question about Rowenta DZ9080 Iron with Auto Shut-off
This iron seems to have a number of faults. Some people have good success but a large number are completely unsatisfied because of electrical failures (even melt-downs and smoke).
Unfortunately, these irons are controlled by a microprocessor and circuit board that cannot easily be replaced (except by Rowenta repair center). Even at the repair centers, it is doubtful that they are actually repairing anything. They are likely sending out new units and looking into why the failed units fail then throwing them away.
Sorry i cannot offer a fix for you. There is nothing in the manual that describes your problem and nothing on-line that offers a fix except a new controller and circuit board.
