SOURCE: How do I change the

  • From the programming extension (usually 100), with the phone idle and handset in the cradle, press the FEATURE button
  • Press 9 #
  • Enter the hour (01-12) and minute (00-59)
  • Press the Recall Key to change the AM/PM Setting
  • Press the Hold Key and continue if you want to change the calendar setting.
  • Press SPKR or hang up. The correct time should display

  • You must change the time from a phone with administration priveleges. This is usually going to be the main phone, extension 100 or 101. That phone must have an LCD display to make these changes.

we also have possibly the same problem on nec electra elite 1pk with dterm80 phones and vmp voice mail. the tech who installed it said the volume was already cranked up in the system. i have all the software from the tech but still researching before i connect and access the system.
    same problem at previous location.
odder still, our previous phone system of different brand at two other locations had the same problem and bell canada (provides the lines) and other techs could not fix it.
are we just unlucky getting quiet phone lines or is there such a thing?

SOURCE: How to change time on NEC Electra Elite IPK? I

You have to be on the root phone or "first phone".
To check various phones -Hit {feature} 4.
Should display 100= TEL 01. Once on the first phone then use {feature} 9 #.
Time will flash at top of display and can be adjusted.

If you are not on the first phone you will get error at the top of the display. Leave the hand set on the hook.

I have a PRI and am asking the same question. I do know that you do have to go into programming to set this up. You also have to have a COIB card installed for this to work for standard Direct Inward Dial lines.

It has to do with a program called ringing line preference. Program # 4-11. Check out

If you happen to have an Electra Elite 48, 192 or IPK this manual can show you how to program that feature. Don't take it lightly though, you can jeopardize your system if you do not know what you are doing.

NEC Electra Professional Level I Upgrade

The NEC Electra Professional Level 1 has a maximum CO line capacity of 8 in any configuration. If you need more outside phone lines, you will need a different system. If you need to limit cost as much as possible, the cheapest avenue would be to upgrade to a used Electra Professional Level II. That way you can still use the same telephone instruments, but ALL cabinet hardware would be different. Also, you can only get to 8 outside lines if you have software level 3.00 or higher by using the COI-C(2A)-10 card. To verify which software version you have, I think you press FNC(3) on sta. 10 ( or the first station in the system). If that doesn't work, let me know, and we can access the system program to verify version number.

Is it the type with a hard-drive mounted on the card?
If so, pull the card out of the system, let it sit for at least 15 minutes, then plug it back in. You might even try putting it in a refrigerator (just don't get it wet).

If it still doesn't come back online, it's time for a service call.

I hope you have a maintenance contract, though.

How to program a line to ring keysets

Not sure if I understand your question correctly, but I think I just learned how to do that on an electra professional. Memory block 4-1-1 lets you go through each of the internal extensions, and you can set each extension to ring when a call comes in from any/some/all of the outside lines.
to reach memory block 4-1-1, I used a multi line terminal connected to ports 1. Press fnc => hold => # => 0 => * => line key 4. Use the fcn(?) key to cycle through the internal ports, the line key buttons to map each of the 4 lines (presumably line keys 1 through 4 on your system).
As to where to get a manual, I am not sure, I have 3 thick binders... good luck
