Try a replacement display, sounds like a faulty monitor

The problem is probably not with windows but with your monitor. Test the computer with a different monitor, so that you can understand if problem is computer or monitor.
If problem is the computer it is probably a faulty video adapter, as Windows does not offer a real colour adjustment option.
If problem is the monitor check your user guide and use adjustment buttons to lower color brightness, if this does not lower down brightness you have a faulty monitor.
Here is manual for a similar model, adjustment procedure should be the same

Not able to see the images properly on my computer screen. Everything else is working fine. but when there is any image on the web page, then I can not see that image. Can see only colors. but can not...

Well I'm assuming this is a Dell, since this is in the Dell section. First, try viewing a pic off your hard drive. If you can see that fine, then go on to the next step,if not then the video card or onboard video has a problem. Could be as simple as re-installing the driver for the device. If the pic displayed fine, then I'll assume you're using Internet Explorer 7 or newer. I'd go to www.microsoft.com & download the latest version of Internet Explorer (8 is newest but 7 is fine for older pc's). You can also try a free browser like Google's Chrome or Firefox & see if that makes a difference. Also, do yourself a favor & download Advanced System Care Free version from www.download.com . Run the windows maintenence portion & then the system diagnostics, leaving all options stock. It's a one click ,let it run program, nothing to adjust. Finally, under utilities in the same program, install the defrag program, run the internet optimizer, the disk clean up. You can actually run this program before anything else, that's if you can see the writing on the webpage to do so. that program alone fixes 80% of what I run into daily in my business. This problem appears to be software related, so the above reccomendations should help. This applies to all versions of windows.

My screen has gone massive and the colours have gone negative. help me?.................. x

Hi,

That sounds like your video card has gone back into VGA mode, 16 colours and a screen resolution of 640 x 480.

Go into the display settings and try setting the resolution to something like 1024 x 768 and the colour to 32 bit (16 million colours).

If the adjustment cannot be made, it is likely you have a graphics card driver issue. Find out what graphics card or chip you have and download a new driver from the manufacturers website.

Hope this helps.

I have poor vision. I can't read the light blue script well. I can't figure out how to change the color scheme, including the color scheme on windows vista.

right click on desktop and select personalize or select same from control panel. first option is to change Window Colour and Appearance, you can then select from the list the bit you would like to change and select the new colours.
