Usually its already a Mobo failure because its unusual to havean irritating sound during the start up
Try first to used other speakers , make sure it s properly plugged and in case nothing happens .Try to clean the ports on the computer where you plug in ..Try also to go to safe mode checked if you will have the same problem .If not thet its only a software probably try to uninstall the audio drivers and install that one that is avalable on the acer .com

If nothing .. contact acer I believe they will be advising you to send it for repair
Hope it help

Headphone jack not functioning properly

This is the normal way for this laptop ..leave it always with the headphones on selected in that list ..cause if the main speakers don't work well there is no point in using them ..This way you will run whatever yo will plug in ..speakers or headphones..The only setting difference in headphones and stereo out ..is that for headphones will but the speakers of the laptop when plugged in ..This way it will even help you if the speakers are making weird noises cause they are damaged ..

I have no sound at all coming from the speakersom ym scaleo 600 computor

what did you check???
start with the obvious:
1. are the speakers plugged in and turned on?
2. are the speakers plugged into the computer?
3. can you get sound by plugging in headphones to the headphone jack or speaker out jack?
4. it your audio un-muted for all the functions?
5. is the audio application properly configured?
6. will it play a known good file like the windows media files?
7. Does it play the windows startup or shutdown files?

When you get a NO! you will be in a better position to get an ANSWER.

M602 Speaker Problem,.. Popping Sound

This worked for me on my M604: Try inserting/removing a headphone plug into the jack several times to see if that clears the problem.

The "popping" sound is very similar to the sound that the unit makes when inserting headphones into the 'headphone' jack on the back of the unit.

The jack has a contact switch that triggers a relay inside the unit. If that contact switch is 'on the verge' of making contact, slight temperature changes may cause deform closer to it's contact target. The subsequent capacitance build-up and discharge across the gap could explain the cycle of popping noises after the unit warms up.

Speakers work with ipod not with laptop

First thing, you have plugged in to the wrong point, plug in the speaker to the headphone slot(mostly light green in color).

MIC point is specifically for MIC not speakers.

The point which works for your headphones would work perfectly for speakers.

My computer speakers just went silent in the middle of a song

Do the speakers have power? Check the fuse.

Where are you plugging your headphones?
Where are the speakers connected? Is it the same jack as the headphones?

Have you tried plugging the speakers into the headphone jack vs the soundcard?

Popping & hardly any volume

i had the first problem and you can probably fix it by turning the volume knob all the way up and down about 20 times. it worked for me. supposedly the potentiometers in the z-5300 get dirty or worn out, somehow this might fix it. for the second problem maybe try plugging it into the laptop and unplugging it again seeing if it goes back to normal?maybe its a problem with the amp?
