Is it possible to earn $600 before December? How much should I earn enough to have $600 before December?

not enough information ,like your hourly rate , how many hours you work etc
for an answer to your question --earning $100.00 a week for 6 weeks will give you $600.00 before xmas
so you see all it takes is to multiply your hourly/weekly rate by the number of week to xmas and you have your answer
or divide $600.00 by the number of weeks before xmas and you will have the amount required per week to get the amount

If i work 16 hours a week how much money do i get for a 14 year oldd

Multiply hourly wage by number of hours in pay period.
The answer is your gross pay. If this is un-taxed income, you earn that much. If it is taxed, then multiply by about 0.70 to determine take home pay after taxes, although taxes vary by location.

Ex: If I work 16 hours at $9.50/hr, I make $152/week before taxes, but only take home $106.40 ($152 x 0.70) per week after the government takes its cut.

Use a calculator, hand-held or on the computer in accessories, cell phone app, or pencil and paper with simple multiplication formula Wage x Hours Worked Per Pay Period x (1.00 - Tax Rate) = Take Home Pay Per Pay Period.

IF STATEMENT

Let x be the total number of hours worked. Let w be the total wage.
If x < or = 40, w=16.5 x,
Else w= 16.5*40 +26.5*(x-40)

Cost of running window a/c unit

the total power used is 750 watts so multiply that by the number of hours in use say 60 hours a week
so 60 X 750 = 42000 or 4.2 kw hours X 4 cents per kw/h =418 cents or $4.18 per week X 4 weeks =$16.72
if you are a college student talk with a maths teacher and see if what I an calculating is correct but there is no way that the ac unit will cost $150.00 a month to run
you have to be careful here as to charge you for an ac unit , it has to be on a separate meter and I suspect that he is trying to get you to subsidise his electricity account outside of the rent costs which include power for the stove and hot water
as an example we run a 2.7kw ac for 12 hours or longer and the total household bill at 21 cents / kw hour ( we live in a country where the power is a major component of the household budget) is around $360.00 per month so I think that by comparison he is trying to rip you off
seek legal advice on the subject and if the rent payment includes electricity usage then he will need a separate meter to charge for the ac unit

Model #SD-20-2N11CC WATERWAY PUMP (2HP) - Trying to find out how many gallons per minutes pumped on high & low speeds

Rule of thumb for a 2 HP pump using a 2 inch pipe is between 60 and 80 gallons per minute. Factors affecting flow rate is the distance between the pump and the pool, how many bends and turns and of course the condition of the filter. If you need to meet a specific turn-over rate, use the lower number to determine in the event you sould be called on the carpet.

Low speed? I am sorry. I don't know the rule of thumb on this.

You could install a flow meter, available at your professional pool supply. They are easy to install and not a lot of money. Follow the installation instructions as best as you can.

Incidently, comercially speaking, the 'turn over rate' should be around 8 hours for a public pool. Your jurisdiction may have other standards. Commercial pools should run 24 hours a day at that rate during the open season. Turn over rate means all the gallons of the pool should go through the filter in 8 hours, or all the gallons should go through the filter three times per day. Example: 16000 gallons of water in the pool, your filter and pump should be pumping 2000 gallons per hour. Studies show that it actually takes up to 5 days to get every actual 'chunk' of water to go through the filter, so, many of the 'chunks' of water go through the filter multiple times per hour. BTW, I use the word "chunks" in an effort to better paint a mental picture of what is happening. I am not suggesting your water has "chunks" in it.

Thanks for your question @ FixYa.com

A carpenter was contracted to repair a kitchen for $18000, the work took him 6 hours more than he has estimated and as a consequence, he earned $100 per hour less than he had estimated. how many hours had...

I will try to solve it systematically so it will be easier to understand. Note: The solution involves solving a quadratic equation.

Let amount of hours estimated be x:

Expected rate: $18000/(x hours)

Time spent extra: 6 hours.

Totals hours spent: (x + 6) hours

New rate: $18000/(x+6 hours)

Now:

18000/(x+6) x

The new rate is less than old rate by $100, therefore we can make the above inequality equality by adding $100 to the new rate.

18000/(x+6) + 100 = 18000/x

Solve by cross multiplaction:

(18000 + 100(x+6) * x = 18000 * (x+6)

18000x + 100x(x+6) = 18000x + 108000

Simplify:

100x(x+6) = 108000 (cancel 18000x on both sides)

x(x+6) = 1080 (divide by 100)

x^2 + 6x - 1080 = 0

Solve the above quadratic equation by any method (completing square, factorization or quadratic formula)

x = (-b+-(b^2 - 4ac)^.5)/2a where a = 1; b = 6; c = -1080

x = 30 or -36 (hours cannot be negative so disregard this result)

Therefore x = Estimated time = 30 hours

Check:

18000/30 = $600 per hour x+6 = 36 $18000/36 = $500 or $100 per hour less than estimated
