Dryer has Heat but NO AIR

Many of these have a belt driven blower wheel, could be a broken belt or it came off, There was also a bulliten out on several models where the blower wheel would come loose from the drive shaft, the fix was to re attach using a medium body thread lock compound so it would not unscrew again.

Maytag dryer MDET446AYW shuts off after a minute or so

Does it come back on right away when you start it again? or do you have to wait. If it starts, stops, starts, excetera..if so you will need to replace the control board. Part Number: AP4046791 made by WHIRLPOOL. Now it is not a cheap part, but most have a 30 day moneyback. The slight chance of a broken element shorting, causing the thermistor to over heat, cool down and run for a short time. is also a possible issue. But for the Maytags I have worked on in this model, most of the time it has been the control board. I am hoping it is the element issue for finace purposes. It is a good dryer unit, I own one. : )

I should like to have a Dutch or English user manual

    Obstructed Vent
Your Kenmore dryer must be able to freely circulate air in the dryer in order for it to continuously supply hot air. If air flow is limited from a buildup of lint in the vent and lint tray, the high limit switch temporarily shuts off heat to the dryer. Empty the lint tray on the top of your dryer. Detach the exhaust vent -- the silver tube in the back of your dryer -- and thoroughly clean it out with a lint brush and reattach. Consult your Kenmore dryer manual for instructions on how to inspect and clean your vent hose. Once these components have been freed of lint, the dryer should dry clothes again.
    Broken Blower Wheel or Belt
If you have completed a full inspection of your dryer vent system and found no obstructions, your dryer might have a defective blower wheel or belt. A failure of one or both of these components can restrict air flow in your dryer and take your dryer longer to dry clothes. According to Point and Click Appliance Repair, a noise coming from the dryer as the drum spins is usually an indication that the blower wheel is failing and needs to be replaced. Review your Kenmore dryer manual for instructions on how to locate these components on your dryer.
    Faulty Thermostat
A broken thermostat can cause your dryer to produce too high or too low heat. Monitor the dryer exhaust temperature with a hand-held thermometer. The temperature should be below 150 degrees Fahrenheit. If the temperature reading is higher, then replace the thermostat. It's no longer able to regulate the temperature inside the dryer, and your dryer is in danger of overheating. If the temperature reading is room temperature and the dryer is running, the thermostat is broken and needs to be replaced.
    Damaged Gas Valve Coils
Damaged gas valve coils permit your Kenmore gas dryer to ignite only once before coils must completely cool in order to reignite. This is a common issue among older dryers. If your dryer struggles to turn on or after it shuts off you must wait several minutes before it restarts, then the gas valve coil likely has worn. Confirm the location of the igniter from the manual. It's a cone-shaped tube that is located inside the dryer near the front panel close to the bottom. If the igniter radiates bright orange for 15 seconds without producing a flame, then the gas valve coils have probably failed.

My gas dryer heats up for 10-15 seconds and then shuts off. I've cleaned out the lint hoping that it would work again but it continues to shut off after 10 - 15 seconds. I did read a post about moisure...

Feel your pain. Unplug wait a minute then plug in. Hopefully it will help. This is what I had to do. Don't know why this works at times...or at least buy us some time. I will never buy another LG product. No one wants to work on them or knows how. I'm on the 3rd mother board of my dryer, purchased dryer in 2006. First mother board it came with....shot...called LG, they sent me with some yahoos that replaced it with a refurbished mother board. Was under warranty until it expired, and guess what. That one needed replaced. Got a new mother board(3rd one in it now)....same problem is starting again. Worked great since 2007 after #3 was put in until now. If it needs #4 mother board eventually.....may just need to buy a whole new dryer and it won't be an LG. Got to get something that repairmen know what to do with. I hope unplugging it solves your problem, otherwise, I'm so sorry. I have the DLE2514W......(the W represents the color, white)

Lint not catching in tray and is clogging the roof vent

This is common on all dryers. Not lint screen will catch all the lint although some are better than others. If you haven't already, you will need to clean or have your home vent cleaned (with a brush that goes all the way through the vent). If vent is not cleaned the lint will back up all the way into your dryer and cause a mess. You have stated your vent goes up to your roof so you will need to clean it every 6mths to 1yr. Aside from this there is no fix that I am aware of. Please rate me after reading this.

    Gas dryer - inadequate heat

Clean out your lint tray and hose. It sounds as if it is stopped up. The gas dryer automatically shuts off to prevent fires or overheating. The thermostat is probably O.K. since it will run for a few seconds each time.Let me know what you find out. Clean the lint trap first.

If the dryer has a flame for 2 cycles and then nothing it sounds like your gas coils are failing. Replace them and that should solve your problem

    Broken Kenmore 80 Series dryer

Sounds like you have a simple broken belt problem.  If you are sure the motor is working and the heating circuits are functioning, but the drum does not turn, the drum belt probably broke.  They are inexpensive to replace and are carried by almost any appliance repair store.
