SOURCE: Need yamaha codes to program into uverse tv ir remote

(I have the RX-V659). Because the Yamaha remote has TWO SEPARATE buttons - power ON and power OFF (standby). This problem can't be fixed. There's a code to choose power ON and another code for power OFF. But one button can't be two buttons. Bad engineering\ design by Yamaha in my opinion

Yamaha v-r701 reciever It has sound but it is very faint. You have to turn the volume way up for it to play at a wisper.

NEVER USE MAXIMUM VOLUME FOR TROUBLESHOOTING.

Turn the volume control to something medium.

The errant switch, control or condition may change and you will suddenly release the amp's full power and possibly destroying your speakers. If a signal isn't audible at 1/2 volume it's probably not there.

Carefully examine the front panel for clues like a misplaced Mute or Tape Monitor control or Multichannel Analog Input selected.

There is a good chance that a common control may have developed a high-resistance or 'dead

I have a yamaha r-v701 the main 120 volt fuse was blown when replaced it keeps blowing what would be causing the short

If you are blowing the mains fuse, you likely have an issue in the power supply. This can be a bad rectifier or filter capacitor; or, less likely, some other component. The fact that you're asking the question suggests you should not try to fix this yourself.

What's NEC PF68S33 TV's remote control code for YAMAHA HTR-6130

I had similar problem when setting up the YAMAHA remote control for my NEC LCD TV. At the end I found I did not follow the YAMAHA manual properly. Did you hold down the DTV/CBL button, and AT THE SAME TIME press the AV POWER for 3+ seconds? You should be able to "REMOTE SETUP OK" displayed in the front panel of the YAMAHA AV receiver. Hope this helps. BTW, only the TV POWER, TV MUTE and the numeric buttons work in my case.

HARMONY 550 UNIVERSAL REMOTE

As far as I know you cannot, you will need it to be in the devices list online, or find somebody with the remote to program it.
You should also be able to get the company.. Yamaha to send you the codes or send them directly to Logitech to get them added to the database.

Yamaha r-v701 receiver wont turn on

Usually a buzzing relay is an indication that AC has snuck into the circuitry. 99.999999% of the time, relays in home theatre amps are DC powered. If you power the relay with AC, it will buzz . I think you have a serious problem, that requires a service tech. Is the unit under warranty ?.....If so...great. If not, then I suggest you take it to a Yamaha shop, just because thay have access to all the necessary electrical diagrams and service bulletins. It may be possible that there is a factory modification out to correct an existing production problem with that unit, that only shows up later. If so, you should be eligable for the upgrade from Yamaha. If the unit is NOT under warranty, and it requires a factory mod, you may be eligible for a goodwill repair from Yamaha. Best of luck....Rob

YAMAHA R-V701 MAKES BUZZING SOUND & WONT TURN ON

This could be the indication of an open resistor, or bad Capacitor in power supply. May not be visible to eye, but if you look in PS. there should be atleast one big sized cap and every PS has a bridge rectifier, this is usually 4 diodes in series, check them and see if any open, shorted
