How many pounds per bushel of something?

Hi Doug:
- Bushel is a unit of volume, and is typically associated with unprocessed vegetable or grain products.
- Pound is a unit of weight.
Depending on the product, ie. corn, carrots, potatoes, oats, etc.
The weight will be different for a bushel of each product.
If you reply as a COMMENT to this post with more information I may be able to assist.
Cheers.

Wat are bushels

Bushels or Bushings?

A bushel is a weight of measure for things like grain or apples.

Bushings are typically used to cushion suspension and steering components. Worn bushings will create noise when turning or going over bumps and reduce precision of suspension. Depending on wear, initially not dangerous but should be dealt with before they get too bad.

Ignition coil hold down bolts are thin and could snap if over tightened. Just run the bolts down snug by hand and then give it 1/8 turn . Its just enough to keep the coils from vibrating loose.

Is this a whole grain? Or is like white flour?

Burgoul or bulgar is wheat hearts, it may not have wheat germ or bran in it. So it is more like a white flour with nutty wheat heart pieces

What are the health benefits of whole grains?

Eating more whole grains is an easy way to add a layer of "health insurance" to your life. Whole grains are packed with nutrients, including protein, fiber, B vitamins, antioxidants, and trace minerals (iron, zinc, copper, and magnesium). A diet rich in whole grains has been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, and some forms of cancer. Whole-grain diets also improve bowel health by helping to maintain regular bowel movements and promote growth of healthy bacteria in the colon.

To recognize whole grains, keep this list handy when you go to the grocery store and choose any of the following grains:
Whole-grain corn
Whole oats/oatmeal
Popcorn
Brown rice
Whole rye
Whole-grain barley
Wild rice
Buckwheat
Triticale
Bulgur (cracked wheat)
Millet
Quinoa
Sorghum
100% whole wheat flour.

What characterizes whole grains and refined grains?

Whole grains are grains that have the entire grain kernel: the bran, germ, and endosperm. for example, whole wheat flour is a whole grain.
Refined grains have been milled, so do not have the bran and germ. This makes the grain finer and it will last longer, but it takes out the vitamin B. iron, and dietary fibers. An example of a refined grain is white flour.

Heavy dry wheat bread

You can try replacing some of the heavier wheat flour with some lighter sifted bread flour. (You'll need to sift the wheat flour too.) I use Splenda when I can to try to keep the calories and carbs down, but a small amount of molassas can help sweeten too. Try experimenting with different amounts until you get one you like. You might try using fruit juice for liquid; it can sweeten while mixing in the flours. Good Luck and have fun eating your experiments.
