Question about Electric Razor Pocket Mod Scooter

1 Answer

The battery is fully charged. When the scooter is up on the kickstand the back tire accelerates, but when put down on the ground it does not. The engine revs, but the tire does not spin.

This indicates the clutch is bad. The clutch can spin the wheel due to inertia, but once the weight of the bike is on the ground your clutch will not fully engage. Sorry, but it may need to be replaced or rebuilt. Hope this helps Fix Ya up.

Scooter stops after about 3 mile as if battery dead

hi, okay now does this happening every time ? or is the distance variable ?

check the batteries are fully charged, if possible check the batteries with a electrical meter when it stops again , insert the probes in the charger socket the outside ones , the middle on you can ignore , check the voltage , below 23 or 24 volts this means that once you start going again the voltage will drop causing the controller to cut out , they normally cut out at about 18 volts .

Satisfied that's okay now the brake could be breaking down ? do you hear it click when going along ?

At worse your controller could be breaking down

Gogo elitescooter lights indicate battery fully charged but scooter will not go

Make sure the free-wheel lever is engaged and the charger is unplugged from the scooter before you try to turn the scooter on. If the battery gauge goes up when you turn the scooter on and there are no beeping sounds you should be good to go.If the battery gauge drops to the red when you try to accelerate slowly, your batteries are shot. (Typical replacement in 24-48 months). If there is any beeping when the key is first turned on then there is a problem and the number of beeps indicates the problem found by the computer during the POST. Ultralite 480 lacks power, new batteries fitted 5 months ago, shows fully charged, dips down when accelerator lever pressed but stays in green area

The battery lights dropping down while the scooter is in motion is normal; the motors are drawing current from the batteries which is going to drop the battery level slightly. However, if you see the battery indicator lights dropping off steadily while the scooter is in motion (1 bar every few minues or seconds) this can indicate a battery problem. It sounds like this is normal operation!
Good luck!

Make sure that the charger is fully connected to the scooter; ususally the controller lights will go slowly left to right to indicate it is charging. Make sure the charger is plugged directly into the grounded wall outlet, not into an extension cord or power bar. If the charger is not being recognized by the scooter, you may need to replace the charger, or at least the power cord to the charger.
If your scooter has been sitting unused for a while? If so, the batteries might not charge anymore and will need to be replaced. Contact the manufacturer for a service call or troubleshooting over the phone.
Good luck!

DRIVEMEDICAL PHOENIX 3 WHEEL Just bought it and charged it for 10hours. When I put battery into scooter, all the battery lights come on- 2red 1yellow 2green.....so is it charged? are the connections loose?...

Wez Thats a normal indication of a full charge. The battery level indicator will go down as you use the scooter. Always charge the scooter overnite if you use it a good bit during the day. With new batteries it will take 8-10 charging to break them in and operating at 100%. Always store fully charged and if not used alot charge once a week after you have charged the batteries 8-10 times

Hope this helps

Battery power on mobility scooter

Most scooters show a drop on the battery level meter when in use, as long as it is`nt slowing down it should`nt be a prob. I mean, when you engage the throttle you ARE putting a load on the batteries,so it`s only par for the course that the indicator would drop a bit.

New 55ah batteries but charge won't last.

Battery life is affected by many things. But inside a tiled space like Walmart is probably the best possible running conditions. Make sure your tires are fully inflated, and you may need to have the motors check for worn brushes or maybe the wheel bearings are dry. Does the scooter push hard when in free-wheel mode? You may also need to have your charger checked, to be sure your batteries are really being fully charged.
