For Vista/windows 7
Check with volume settings.

Right click on the speaker icon in taskbar and select volume control options.

Put a check mark on "All devices currently playing sound".

Make sure you have "The default communication device unchecked".

Place a check mark on both speakers and headphones.

For Windows XP

- Speakers, Headphones

In "Control Panel", select "Switch to Classic View", and open "Sounds and Audio Devices".

In "Sounds and Audio Devices Properties", click the "Audio" tab, and click the "Volume" of "Sound playback".

On the "Master Volume" screen, click "Properties" in the "Options" menu.

Add a check mark to "Playback" of "Adjust volume for" on the "Properties" screen, and check marks to "Master Volume" and "Wave" for the control to be displayed, and click the "OK" button.

On the "Master Volume" screen, remove the check marks from "Mute all" of "Master Volume" and "Mute" of "Wave".
Note: The settings may differ depending on the PC you are using. Please check items such as sound in the manual for the PC you are using.

Touch pad sony viao vpceb3j1e not working

Hey there. Often times this is a problem caused by accidentally turning it off. Look for a button on your keyboard or near the touch pad to turn the touch pad on/off. If you're using windows 7 and possible below, you won't need drivers to get the touch pad to work normally.

Probably, the multimedia audio jack cable has kinked and in turn gone partially bad; especially close to the audio jack head.

What you can do is take it to an electronics/phone/tablet repair shop and get the jack head replaced.

Should work fine after this.

Im having sony vaio VGN-NR32L and problem is that my laptop speaker is not working but headphones are working properely,i have reinstalled drivers but still not working.

since you have the drivers installed, go ahead and try a new set of speakers, if that doesnt' work then that means the motherboard is bad since they come out of the motherboard.

Make sure your volume control isn't muted and that its turned up to 100%. That at that point it will be the speakers to you have to try to make sure its not bad speakers. If that doesnt work then the motherboard isnt putting out sound and the motherrboard would have to be replaced.

Hello there... Check your PC's volume. You may or someone in your household has accidentally muted it. Unmute it or increase its volume (if you can't find the audio icon in the taskbar, proceed to the control panel - it's there), it maybe too low. Hope this helps... Ai :)

Sounds like your headphones may need to be replaced. I'm assuming they don't work with anything else.

Try cleaning the plug with a lightly dampened paper towel and use a can of compressed air to clean out the jack on the laptop. If that doesn't work, try another set of headphones.

Sony Vaio PCG-K45. My speakers are not working

May be yor codec (decoding system) is missed. Try different player, also if using Klitecodecks reset settings. Find sound program and turn off 5.1 or 7.1 sound and choose 2 speakers.
