If your TV is new then it will still be under warranty. I suggest you get the supplier to repair or replace it under warranty.

I have it setup on my Samsung TV with RCA cables, but no sound comes out

Why do you need to use RCA cables as a TV will produce sound through the internal speakers without any cables required.

I have no sound coming out of my speakers when I connect the receiver to my tv and ps3.

There's really not enough info here to answer your question. What outputs are you connecting to what inputs on your receiver? 1. Does the receiver produce sound from other inputs? If yes, then receiver to speaker is OK. 2. Do you have sound at a headphone jack but not speakers? This would indicate bad speaker wiring or blown output fuses.
A bit more info will help - maybe gathering it will lead you to where the connection is not correct.

I have my dvd player attached but don't know what channel to put the tv on so the picture from the dvd comes on and not just the sound

You should be using the Video input, you should have three cables hook up to one of the Video input,
Yellow for composite video, red for right channel sound input, white for left channel sound input, then select AV1 or AV2 depend on which one you choose.

Use of AV2 input sound socketsto play ipod

The sound is muted unless a video signal is detected on this TV. The only work around would be to connect the camcorder or some other active video to tha input but using the IPOD for the audio.

VIZIO Flickering Fade to Black

Do you have more than one source on the input you are using for the tv signal? For example, are you using AV1 for tv, AV2 for dvd? If a signal is weak, real weak, the tv will automatically move to the next like input. That being said, if you are in fact setup like I'm asking about, a weak signal would explain the flicker and fade to black. Of course, it could be the main board in the early stages of going bad but we'll try to stay positive for now. :^ )
Let me know please.

JVC LCD TV (LT-42X688) input panel not working!

1. This TV has setting for the HDMI input that allows you to select the HDMI Audio or Analog(red/white wire) audio. Make sure this is correct

2. Most cable boxes are DVI not HDMI. If DVI then you actually do need to use those Red/white cables. If HDMI, refer back to #1.

3. The cable box has a setting to select the Audio output, HDMI (digital) or Analog(red/white cables). Just like #1, this has to be set.

4. Contact your cable company to help you set up the box correctly. JVC can probably help you check the TV

Try this.

1. Take note of what input you are using to your television. AV1 or AV2 or Component 1 Component 2.

2. On the remote, toggle the input selection to corresponding input for your DVD.

Vizio liquid crystal tv l32hdtv

Check the cable connections and/or replace the cables to the AV2 input.

If replacing the cable doesn't provide a solution, try running your DVD through the input. Since it works fine now, you would be checking the input AV2 by putting your working DVD. If the DVD plays with no problems, the input is fine.

Also try the VCR using coax into the TV instead of RCA into AV2. This will give you some idea about the condition of the VCR.

I suspect either the VCR or the cables.
