I did not know how to turn off my email connection of my palm centro cellphone

Hello p_belgado,

The email connection can not be turned off but the email application can deleted off the Palm centro if you don't want to use it. It can be deleted by doing the following:

•Press the home button
•Press the menu key (lower right-hand corner)
•Select 'Delete' in the drop-down menu
•Scroll through the list until the mail application is highlighted:
(The mail application probably starts with the letters 'MM...' [MultiMail]. And it could be 'VersaMail')
•Tap the 'Delete' button at the bottom of the screen

This procedure will delete the mail application and it will be archived on you computer during the next hotsync. If you get stuck doing this procedure, here's a link to the Palm Centro User Guide which can be quite helpfu:

Copy Contacts from Palm Centro to SIM Card

When I migrated from my Palm Centro (best smartphone ever) to my current BlackBerry, I did the following: 1) Export Palm contacts from the Palm Desktop software to CSV (comma separated values or tab-delimited text) format. 2) Import the CSV file to your Google Contacts account. 3) Wirelessly sync Google Contacts to your new phone using the free Google Sync app (link below). 4) Verify data was transferred appropriately.
Google Sync details: http://www.google.com/mobile/sync/
You should be able to follow the same process for your Palm Calendar by exporting your Palm Calendar from the Palm Desktop software to a file (save the exported file to your desktop, or an easy to find location on your computer), then import the Calendar file into a NEW Google Calendar, not your primary calendar (in case there's conflicts or problems, you can delete the secondary Google calendar without losing your primary Google calendar items). Google Sync should allow you to choose more than one Google Calendar to sync with your new phone.

How do i tranfer my contacts from my palm centro & another palm centro?

First, make sure you backup all of your data, including data in any 3rd party apps.
Sync your first Palm Centro with the Palm Desktop software to save the data.
Verify the sync settings in the Palm Desktop software to make sure when you begin syncing with the new Palm Centro, the settings for each application (contacts, calendar, memos, etc.) are one-way sync to the device, or you might end up overwriting the data in your Palm Desktop software with what's on the new Palm Centro.
When you sync your new Palm Centro with the desktop software the first time it will ask you to name the new device. If you give it the same name as the old Palm Centro, all of the data will sync to your new Palm Centro.
Search your computer for a folder with the name "Palm" in it to try and locate the name of your old Palm Centro, so you can name the new Palm Centro the same. When you locate that folder on your computer, it would be a good idea to simply make a copy of that folder as a total backup.

Hi, my palm centro has no sound. i.e, no speakerphone, no dial tone, no audio on videos but the alarm works that's it.

Hello rossgreni340,

First, make sure the ringer switch is set to 'ON'. It's the little button on top of the Centro. It's turned on when it's pushed to the left. If that doesn't help then check the Sounds settings. The Palm Centro sounds settings can be accessed and changed from the 'System' screen like this:
•Press the 'Home' button on the Centro.
•Tap the 'System' category (top of sscreen).
•Tap 'Sounds' to change the sound settings as you desire.

I hope this helps to resolve the sound problem.

Hi how do i put a backround on my phone

Hello edgar_25_06,

Putting a background on the palm centro phone could either mean adding a background picture or changing the background color. If changing the color is is desired then its simple:
•Select the the 'System' category in the drop down menu at the top of the main screen.
•Open the Prefs application.
•Select 'Color theme' (near the bottom of the Prefs options).

The Color theme option displays a list of many different screen color settings. Each one of the color themes can be selected and tested on the centro until you find the one you like. Adding a picture for a background is a different matter. I haven't found out how to do that yet.

I thank you for giving a rating to this solution if it has been helpful.

My phone is slow all the time what should i do

you can always try deleting old txt, using a background from your phone, or bringing it to sprint and having the OS reflashed. but after a little bit of research the OS on the Centro is unstable and buggy by nature so there is a posibility that the phone you purchased is just a bad egg.

Deleting pictures from cybershot viewer

Emmmeee,

I had the same problem with my digital cam/corder! An alternative solution to deleting pictures off the camera is, trickily enough, through your computer! This may be a bit of a hassle as you have preloaded your pics. What you will need to do is redownload your pics. You should be asked the option of deleting your pictures after download, and you click on the box.
