Hey Erin, when you mean it does not work as in there is nothing on the screen including audio? With VGA to HDMI (assuming you have the VGA to HDMI adapter) you should only get video since VGA does not support sound. As far as connecting goes its pretty much plug and play. That's also assuming that you have set it to the correct input on your tv and make sure your laptop has proper settings. Go to control panel and go to display. Make sure it recognizes dual monitor. Other than that there really should not be a problem. Look at video input on tv and display settings (OR mobile pc > windows mobility center > connect to a projector or other external display (not under classic view - Vista). I hope this helps. Give me a feedback if not. Good luck Erin. - Joe.

Touch pad is a thin glass layer that is available below the
display screen which interacts with the mobile when we touch. Since you have
not specified your mobile functionality; I think your mobile is working
properly when you use the Keypad. If your mobile is not working properly using
the touch alone then the touch pad in the mobile got affected. Touch pad in the
mobile can be replaced easily. Please visit the nearest mobile service center
and ask them to replace the touch with a new one. Nowadays touch screen are
available at very low cost.

ur mob. is 3G model that means to activate ur 3G facilities such as TV & much more. U hv to register ur 3G model from wellknown mobile shopee.
If these 3G facilities launched in ur country or state, then after proper reg. all the 3G facilities in ur mobile wll b activated, otherwise u hv to wait for future launching.
Your description suggests bad/dirty contacts inside the remotes and jammed volume buttons on one of them. Cleaning the rubber pads and the circuit boards on all of the remotes might solve the problem.
Use some ethyl or isopropyl alcohol and cottonwool to clean them.
By the way, here's a nice way to test a remote using your mobile phone's camera:
Turn the camera on, point the remote towards the camera lens so you can see it on the mobile's display.
Look at the display on your mobile phone and press buttons on your remote - you should see bluish/greenish flashes from your remote's emmiter each time you press a button on the remote (the camera on your mobile shows infrared light from the remote as visible light on the display - if it doesn't do so in the normal mode, try the night mode for the camera instead).
If you press a button and there are no flashes, that button probably has a bad/dirty contact.
if the remote is making flashes even when the buttons are released, this means that a button is jammed (you need to clean the rubber pads and the housing, especially the holes where the buttons come through as there's probably some dirt that keeps the button pressed in, which causes the volume to go up/down all by itself).
