SOURCE: changing the saw blade on a Ryobi Mitre saw

There may be a push button type blade lock, and on many of these saws the retaining bolt for the blade is backwards threads, e.i., looking at the top of blade retaining bolt, turn it clockwise to loosen. This would normally tighten, but in the case of many of these saws, it loosens it.

SOURCE: How do I replace my mitre saw blade?

It should still easily fit a 5/8" blade. The arbor shape shouldnt have any effect on the type of arbor hole needed on the saw blade (only round arbor holes are made on saw blades. You will probably find the arbor securing nut has a shape that fits into the flat gaps between the saw blade and the arbor when fixed. So grab a 5/8" round arbor saw blade and give it a go. It should work fine.
It is the arbor nut that secures the blade onto the arbor via friction which holds it on.

SOURCE: ryobi 540A need manual runs slow/ chain too tight?

Actually, I own one of these battery operated Ryobi chain saws too. It is normal for the saw to run slow. Remember it is battery powered, not gas, so its not going to be a high rpm saw. Be patient whit it, and you'll get about 4-6 cuts per battery. I take mine camping. It sure is nice not having to listen to a two-stroke while relaxing in the woods! Dont plan on cutting lots of stuff, either, or you'll burn up the motor. This thing works great for very mild workloads.

Where to put batteries for laser on a tooltec 1800w mitre saw part no.273102 ?

Michael!
I am not at all familair with your particular saw, but I have seen and used many other miter saws with lasers, so I hope this will help:

Many saws install the whole laser assembly right at the center of the saw blade itself. If you look, very likely you will see two pretty beefy washers, one on either side of the blade, right where the motor's arbor passes through the center hole of the blade. One of these washers is the laser itself. complete with batteries. Please unplug the power and take a close look; I'll bet you will be able to spot the lens of the laser.

If your laser turns on automatically when you spin the blade, this is almost certainly where the laser is. In the beefy washer is the light source, a couple of button batteries, and a centrifugal switch that closes when the balde sipns fast enough, thereby turning on the laser. When you release the trigger, the saw slows and stops, the switch is no long held closed by centrifugal force, and the light goes out. Pretty slick!

To replace the batteries, unplug the power and remove the blade according the instructions in your manual. Be aware that many saw blade arbors and their retaining nuts are LEFT HAND THREADED.

Look closely at the washer to see how it comes apart, and take the batteries with you when you shop for repalcements.

If you don't have the manual, speak up, and together we go over blade removal/blade changing, but it is pretty straightforward. Good luck.

To remove the blade, is the nut right or left-hand threads? Is there a blade lock?

With any circular saw, table saw, metal cut off saw, mitre saw etc the nut always tightens against the direction of rotation and loosens the opposite way

How do I change blade on Ryobi W-660 circular saw. I put some WD-40 on bolt, but it doesn't budge. To loosen, I turn clockwise?

I can't find that model number listed but generally a circular saw is standard thread, the mitre saw us left hand and a worm drive is also left hand thread.

How do i change the blade on my delta 10" mitre saw

Exploded diagram for your SM100M miter saw is here.
User manual is here.

Page 20 covers blade change operation.

Make sure you unplug your saw! You need to remove a screw from the cover and rotate the cover to the rear. Use a hex wrench in the motor shaft to keep the saw blade from turning, and loosen the arbor nut with a 1/2" wrench. The arbor is reverse threaded, so you'll turn it clockwise to loosen, then counterclockwise to tighten it up after you have swapped the blade.
Rotate the cover back after that's done, and replace the screw.

If this was useful, please vote. Thanks.

I have 1 10 In compound miter hexbolt will not loosen and lock will not hold. Is it possible that the bolt is a left thread?

most mitre saw bolts that hold blade are left hand thread. If you overtightened you might have to use extra force to loosen, on occasion I have had to use an impact wrench to loosen.
