I cant`make`the`sounds`coming`from`my` louder even in a higher level as well I cant make use of a headset and the microphone of the headset could not work also

1. Check out the volume levels in the sound settings through Control Panel.
2. Check and make sure if there are any buttons or scrolers on the headphones where you can adjust the volume.
3. Try to reinstall the sound drivers for your sound device.

Feedback is a sharp, loud noise that can come through the earphones of a headset unexpectedly---it occurs when the headset is getting sound (feed) from someone else speaking or playing music into a microphone. This sound can create a dangerous situation for someone who is operating expensive equipment or flying a plane at the time since it can disable hearing temporarily.
If you experience feedback often, it could also lead to serious hearing problems.

Mic Too Close to the Speaker or Volume Too High
The main cause of a feedback sound in a headset is proximity to a speaker. If a person holding a microphone on the other end gets too close to a speaker, it creates a loop of re-amplified sound that results in the loud, screeching noise. When the volume on the other party's microphone is too high, it is more vulnerable to picking up unwanted noise and feedback from speakers and sound output devices in the room. So make sure that you ask the other party to turn down the microphone to a normal level and stay far from speakers. b> Two Microphones Gathering Same Sound b> When the other party places two microphones too close to each other, it could cause feedback. When positioned toward the sound source (such as a person speaking) the microphones will both pick up the same audio and compete with each other when creating the output of sound, causing a sharp noise in your headset. This problem, called acoustic phase interference, is resolved by simply ensuring that the other party uses one microphone at a time. Poor-Quality Headset or Microphone b> One common cause of feedback is simply a poor-quality headset or microphone. Most modern headsets and microphones have noise-canceling features that manage and kill feedback before it has a chance to occur. These noise-canceling headsets are essential for pilots and aviation crew members. If you hear sudden feedback that is strong enough to hurt your ears, the headset or microphone is simply not properly equipped to actively cancel that unwanted noise before it hits your ears. On a PC with external speakers and also a headset with microphone. Windows XP is configured so that standard audio are external speakers and standard microphone is the headset. Skype is configured to use the headset for audio in and out.

This way one can listen to sound from the PC and from MP3 players through external speakers and if there is a call to make or take, this is going through the headset.

But now there is the problem that the noise level for the headset is too low. Increasing volume has no effect on the headset, it only affects the external speaker's volume.

Now the solution: Going to the control panel and opening the sound setting, go to the audio tab. The external speakers are selected as default. Just temporarily select the headset and then click on volume just below. You can now set the volume for the headset, click OK and click cancel (!!!) on the sound control dialog box. This way the external speakers remain as default output.



Skype-->Tools -> Options -->Sound Devices-->audio device/USB/etc Audio Device (do NOT use windows default device)
You can also tick the ring pc speaker check box as this is a good backup to alert you even
if the main speakers are off or turned down.

Windows:
Start-->Control panel-->Sound and Audio devices
On the audio tab set the default playback device to your main soundcard(AC97/Audio-chip/add-on-adapter), etc.
Your installed audio device must be present there.
If not, reinstall audio device

By having your microphone set to level D, try setting it on A while talking to someone who can here you while you switch through. Most systems are set to B for standard use. On the back of the unit is an up or down microphone, that would allow your voice to be made higher or lower.

get the graphical user interface up on the TV,and adjust your sound levels.some amps also have supplied microphones for setting up their sound levels.you want about +8 DB on centre channel

How can you turn the mic volume louder or higher? my mic sounds blurry hardly to hear...my mic is in an a4tech headset. thanks a lot!


not a sir only 16 lol. go to controle pannel then hardware and sound. where it says sound find where it says manage audio devices go to recording and find your headset mic and make sure its set to default then click and go to properties then find the tab labeled levels and ajust the mic volume as you would like but please don't forget to pres apply. good luck, hope this helps any more questions just message me back

My microphone will not work, and my computer won't recognize!


Common problem with this headset.

In short, the wiring for the mic in the left earpiece is quite shoddy, and over time will be worn away by changing the mic position or come loose with minimal effort.

Have had a over a dozen of these fail in our internet cafe due to this issue after a couple of months use.

look that madonna like headphone is the best solution for talking to ur boyfriend and it is hassle free plus sound quality is crisp and clear but u can solve ur issue from internal mic like this

Go to Control Panel > Sound >Playback Tab > Select Microphone press properties >Level Tab and then set microphone Boost level to +20 or +40 as desired and press Ok

this will increase ur voice transmittion louder then b4 ands solve ur problem

in XP

Microphone fuzz


Try turning the microphone volume down in your sound settings - fuzziness is usually caused by trying to amplify the signal to a higher level than it can carry.

For your own piece of mind, you might also want to check your headset on someone else's machine - that will pretty quickly distinguish between a headset and a computer problem.

Volume / Device Volume: Make sure “Mute” is NOT checked in this window.
Volume / Device Volume / Advanced: If there is no “Microphone” section in this window, go to Options / Properties and check “Microphone” in the “Playback” list. Then make sure “Mute” IS checked in this window

Audio / Sound Playback: Your on board sound/Sound Card
Audio / Sound Recording: Your on board sound/Sound Card
Audio / Sound Recording / Volume: Make sure "Microphone" is selected and the volume slider is at the center or higher
Audio / Sound Recording / Volume / Advanced: If “Microphone Boost” or “20db Boost” is present, select it

Note: The audio devices you want to use MUST be present in these Skype device lists. If they are not, check the device connections and driver installations again.

2. Microphone and Speaker connections

Check if your mic (pink) and speaker (lime) jacks are in the proper sockets (it is easy to reverse them) and fully inserted (they sometimes stick only partially inserted)
If your microphone or headset has a “Mute” switch, make sure it is not on
If your speakers or headset has a volume control, make sure it is turned up
For test only you can use an earphone instead of microphone (really)! Just unplug the microphone, plug the earphone into the microphone jack, and talk into your earphones. (I know it sounds silly, but it might tell you if your microphone is defective)
A standard microphone plugged into Line In will NOT work.

3. Check audio in Windows.

XP: Start / All Programs / Accessories / Entertainment / Sound Recorder

Vista: Start [Orb] / All Programs / Accessories / Sound Recorder

Make a short recording with the microphone; you should see the level meters moving as you speak. On Windows XP, you can then play back what you recorded.

4. Once done, test with Skype Test Call (echo123).
