Sounds like something with the heating element, or the cord on the back of the dryer. unplug dryer and remove back plate and inspect the cord connection, if all is good, then open up dryer and inspect heating element, might as clean all the lint out,also. Hope this helps Tim;

Yes, I would replace the starter switch...Also, there is a relay next to the starter switch(behind panel) that may be on the blink.. Try switch first as they are cheap.. The Repay retails for around $50.00. Goodluck!

If you are sure the sound is coming from the freezer side, then yes you should empty the frrezer and take off the rear shield. While the heating element is normally encased in glass or plastic. Water droplets hitting an electrical connection could also cause a sizzling sound.

When turning on the machine it makes a sizzling noise

"Sizzling noise" does not sound good! Your description makes me think of the sound of electronical short. Unplug it and don't run it again until you've taken it to a repair shop who can look at it. It's also possible, though the sound is different than a sizzling sound, that there's a capacitor or other electronic part going out on it. Anyway you look at it a sewing machine should not be making any strange noises like that!

My refrigerator stoped cooling and freezing. The lights and the fan come on, but will not cool...

Hello,

The first thing I would do is remove the cover on the back of the fridge and check if the compressor is running. If it's not, then it could be the start device. Remove the power from the fridge, pull out the start device from the compressor and shake it. If you can hear something inside is moving, replace the start device.but if otherwise then,
Your defrost timer located inside the control panel is bad OR the defrost thermostat located on a freezer coil is bad.
Get down low and look up at the bottom of the control panel.
You will see a small round hole. Onside the hole is the defrost timer advance knob.
Use a flat blade screwdriver and SLOWLY turh the slotted knod clockwise until the refrigerator clicks off.
Wait a few minutes then open the freezer door and listen for a sizzling sound from the freezer compartment.
If you do hear a sizzling sound that would be the defrost heater melting ice.
If you do not hear a sizzling sound, unplug the refrigerator and remove the rear freezer panel to expose the cooling coil.
Clipped to the coil will be the defrost thermostat. It will need replacing.
If you do hear the sizzling sound the defrost timer will need replacing.

Good luck and hope this will work

The sizzling sound is very probably arcing on the fire charred PC board. Warning: there is a dangerous possiility of fire. Do not attempt to operate the set any longer without having it serviced.
If you want to service it yourself, replacement boards may still be available. Contact manufacturer's parts department

Falling water hits something hot in freezer and causes sizzle sound

the sizzling noise is water hitting the defrost elememt and this is normal - shows the defrost system is working. if water comes on the floor of the freezer, this may be the drain for the defrost water is blocked. remove the freexer back panel and the drain is in the tray where the defrost water is caught. if it is blocked - usually with ice - clear it with hot water and make sure the water drains freely. takes some patience and maybe several attempts
