How do I set my hdmi to pick of signal of my ps3

HDMI are initials that are referencing either a cable, a switch box, a device, and your television set/monitor.

your device, such as your PS3, has a HDMI receptacle. Your television or monitor if HDMI ready, also has a matching receptacle. An HDMI cable has the same plug ends on either side. They will then plug-in to your device on one end of the cable and to your television on the other end of the cable. The HDMI receptacle on your television, is labeled either 1- 2 - 3 maybe even 4?
you will then get the remote for the TV, and press input, and then you choose the labeled receptacle that your device is plugged into, in your case the PS3, let's say you plug it into HDMI number 1, when you press the input on your remote, you'll scroll to HDMI number 1, and your PS3 will now magically appear on your TV.

Not sure what channel to put TV on to receive DISH channels

Hey there, Cheri Torres with DISH Network Internet Response Team here. I came across your post and wanted to see if I could help. The channel that you would need to put your TV on would depend on the type of cable you have plugged into your TV and receiver. If the cable you have plugged into the receiver and TV is a coax cable (black cable with silver end) the channel would need to be on 3 or 4. If the cable is a RCA cable (black with red, white and yellow tips) the channel would need to be on an input such as Video 1, input 1, input 2, aux etc. The other cable that it could possible be hooked up with is a HDMI cable (black with a thin flat end) the TV would need to be on a HDMI input. You can find the inputs by pressing the input, TV/video, source or AUX button on the DISH remote or TV remote. I hope this information is useful and if you have any other questions please let me know.

How to install a video machine if I don't have the tv remote?

I'm assuming by "video machine" you mean some kind of DVD player or Blu-ray player or something of the like. I will explain how to install a DVD player. There are two major cables: one sends the video to the TV and the other sends power to the DVD player. The power cord plugs into the wall with the other end attached to the DVD player. The video cable plugs into the TV. If you have an HD television, the video cable will have a male HDMI piece that plugs into the TV while the other end of the cable plugs into the DVD player. If you don't have an HDTV, then you will use an RCA cable which has three prongs: Yellow, White, and Red. These three colored male prongs plugs into the corresponding color coded holes in the TV. The other end goes into the DVD player. When you have everything plugged in correctly and the DVD player is on, all you have to do now is change the TV input. You will need the TV remote that came with your TV, or a universal remote that has been configured to work with your TV. Find a button on your remote that reads "Source" or "Input". This will cycle through the sources and inputs of your TV including AUX, VIDEO1, VIDEO2, etc. Keep going until you are on the correct input to see the DVD player menu. Good luck!

Which accessories are a 'most have' for connecting my TV to a desktop pc?

You'll need:
•VGA cable
•S-Video Audio to 3 RCA Type Adapter Cable
•HDMI cable
•DVI cable
Check the connection options on your TV. If your TV has a VGA connection slot, plug the TV into the computer with a VGA cordlike a computer monitor. Connect one end of the VGA cable to the back of the computer and the other end to the TV. Switch between normal TV viewing to displaying your computer on your TV by selecting the proper mode from the remote control, some remotes will mark the proper mode as "VGA" while others will label it "Computer" or "PC."
Check the back of your computer to see if you have an S cable slot. Connect S cable portion of the S-Video Audio to 3 RCA Type Adapter Cable to the computer and plug in the green audio plug to the audio port of the PC. Plug the red white and yellow RCA cables into the matching colors of the RCA slots on the TV. With this method you will need to switch modes from TV to video.
Check the back of the computer and TV for either DVI or HDMI slots. The slots on your computer must match, you cannot connect a DVI to a HDMI. Plug one end of the corresponding cable into the the back of the TV and the other end into the computer. Choose the correct program mode, HDMI or DVI, from the remote to view the computer from the TV.

Plasma tv frozen or locked and remote and tv buttons dont work

This is the best solution for your problem as a 40 year experience with wires etc. Go to the source of your cable signal connector . Open it and clean the terminals with emery paper , sand the end of the cable shiny clean from corrosion , get a new barrel connectors with gold terminals if possible lengthen the ends of the cable , insert and tighten good, use thick rg-16 or rg 40 cable with good insulation ends crimped professionally with a crimpier or buy ready made , not from dollar store. Get a gold plated professional splitter if you need one or two , it will cost about 15 or more each . Make the cable runs as short as possible, using the thick good cables. If needed get a signal magnifier. From radio shack or the source etc. Connect them good and tight . Ground the splitters . Problem solved , you will get crystal clear channel 2 to 7 including 3 and 4 . Isolate the TV cable from other cables and power wires. Vitally

Basscube remote knob wire

sloth...

funny seeing this question posted here... I worked at Phoenix Gold for 4 years, and I can help you with your problem.

when the BassCUBE was designed, the engineers didnt realize that a standard phone cable is what we call a "flipped cable", where if you were to lay the cable flat without any twists in it, on one end the connector would be tab up, and the other end would be tab down. on a standard RJ11 plug (the phone plug), the telephone requires that the pinout is as follows:

#1 - Black
#2 - Red
#3 - Green
#4 - Yellow

But the BassCUBE needs a non-flipped cable, which are hard as heck to find... so I will give you the quick easy fix.

You need a 2-line (4-wire) telephone cable that has a black, a red, a green, and a yellow wire in side it, and you will need 4 crimp caps or other way to splice the wires back together. You then need to cut the wire in half, and carefully seperate and strip each wire on each piece of the cable. Call one piece "Part A", and the other piece "Part B". Then you need to splice the cable back together as below.

Part A Part B

Black ------------------> Yellow
Red --------------------> Green
Green -----------------> Red
Yellow ----------------> Black

Once you have done this, and your SURE that your splice is good (not shorted out), then go ahead and plug your modified cable into the BassCUBE and its remote control, power it up, and you should be good to go.

Black square in middle of screen about 25in X 25 in

If a black square appears on the screen and you can see the picture around the edges, it means that the closed captions are on and set to "TEXT". Go into the TV's menu, navigate to the closed captions page and set the captions to OFF.
