How to switch from video to picutures on a sony cyber shot

Only you can answer this question, but if you do not keep your children under control, this is what can happen.

The webcam and the Sony Cyber-shot are two completely different designs. The webcam takes live moving pictures without limitation, the Cyber-shot can not deal with that kind of use it has limited capability which prevents it from being used in that kind of fashion.

Make sure your camera storage is big enough and the video file type is compatible with Sony CyberShot DSC-H Series.

there is not an option to take pict in black and white. that is usually done during editing process. your sony software usually has editing feature for b&w pict. Hope that helps

I changed the resolution size under options before filming and uploaded the video onto my provided picture motion program given with purchase of camera. I then switched the file to my videos under my computer so I was able to upload them onto email, and internet.

I think it is still under warranty because you told its not a year old. Ask Sony about its warranty cover.

if it has changed it's possible you changed the mode to where it takes longer to focus.

for one, this camera has a "constant focus" function that will continuously monitor distance to target and keep the camera in focus, for fastest focusing, switch to this mode. also, are you pre-focusing your images?

Many novices don't know that you are supposed to 'prime' the camera by lightly pressing down the shutter and then when it lights green on the LED light and on the screen, you depress the shutter fully to take the picture. I experience fast picutures this way and I prefer not to even use constant-focus mode. give that a try.

if you don't 'prime' it, the camera basically doesnt know its about to take a picture, so when you hit the button it has to effectively say "OH CRAP picture time!", focus itself, and then snap the pic.

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Sony should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following link for more info:
