Question about Televison & Video
Mechanical error means that there is a problem with the mechanics that spin CD and move the lens pickup.
When this happens usually yo need to take the unit apart, inspect mechanics, test motor, eventually replace or disassemble faulty mechanics and assemble unit back.
This is a job that is better done by a technician at a repair shop.
A simple operation that you can do is unplugging power cord for two minutes, this sometimes reset the unit and temporarily clear the error.
At the end of owner manual you find a support phone number. Check also your guaranty terms.
