Thanks jyackle5. I have done exactly what the manual instructs (more than a dozen times). The result is always exactly the same: nogodiggidi. When the Moving Jaw is almost pulled free it is prevented from total release. That's the problem .. it doesn't work according to instructions. So now what??

  • Richard J Beale May 22, 2011

Yet again, jyackle5: Grazie (Thanks, in espresso-speak). Tried one more time, failed as before. So I thought I'd send it back thru Amazon .. But what the hell - why not seriously bash the thing around with my trusty heavy-duty rubber mallet before I do so? What greater harm can come except to the (bomb-proof) Moving Jaw? Turns out that by focusing my pent-up attitude, and with exactitude, many swings later the hoped-for miracle happened. A little filing here & there, lotsa lithium grease at metal-to-metal areas -- problem solved! Mind you, no artistry involved!

jyacle5's guidance made a difference, no question. But it was I who swung the persuader, swang it with malice aforethought! Now I can move on to other sick obviations, privately. I'm happy again with my JawHorse, as I was for a few moons.

To remove the moving Jaw you need to hold the release switch in the unlock possion as you pull the jaw off. If you need you can get the manual on the link below.

Try to remove it with some pressure on the foot peddle. On mine I just hold the lock lever up as I slide it off. If that does not work I would call the manufacture.

Unable to find a repair parts list, and the manual does not provide much help. The manual does list a support number that you may wish to contact, especially if it is still in the 5 year warranty period. Rockwell Helpline 866-514-ROCK(7625)

I need gigaware pci card express drivers for usb 3.0 card

I did a little digging and found that Radio Shack actually stopped carrying the Gigaware card, BUT they have a new card from Startech and guess what it looks almost exactly identical to. Long story short I tried the drivers for the Startech version and it installed without a hitch and detected the card right away.

Here are the drivers I used.

Need service and repair manual for rockwell ban saw #28-243 model 14

Please check the publication reprints available from this website, in particular this link.
They are owner's manuals rather than service manuals, but include exploded parts views and lists and most required instructions.
Good luck.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

I need an owner's manual for a Rockwell 34-660 model table saw. I want to replace the blade but the entire shaft turns when I try to remove the shaft nut from the shaft.

You might be able to find a manual here.
You need to lock the blade in place so it doesn't rotate when you loosen the arbor nut. Many older rockwell saws actually had a detent ground in the shaft behind the blade that allow the use of a second wrench to hold the shaft from spinning while the nut is loosened. It takes a special thin wrench to get in there, and the ones that came with the saws were bent just behind the head of the wrench to get around the blade and out the throat, but if you know anyone with a delta tablesaw they may have one you can borrow, or perhaps you can grind down an old cheapy that fits.
If that's not the case, try the instructions I gave in this link.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

I am looking for an owners manual for a Rockwell 6" Jointer Model #37-6CO serial # HW7441

I've had good luck finding them at this website, though you'll have to check both the rockwell and delta pages. Look for publication reprints, and when you get to the manufacturer's page, click on the Pub. type heading to sort the column into jointers, table saws, etc. You may be able to find something of comparable age that will have descriptions to help you, as many models had relatively slight variations from one another. I'm not sure what vintage that is, but there are general line catalogs and instruction manuals listed in the Delta pages that go back many years. Some of them will have basic jointer instructions that may directly pertain to your model. Also check that model number carefully. I've not seen letters in their model numbers before. Usually it is two, followed by three digits. Compare this link for an indication of what you could be missing.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
