Slant fin boiler galaxy natural gas, pump starts and runs. Igniter comes on . Pilot lights. Burner lights. Runs for seconds. Burn shuts down. Igniter starts pilot light, pilot goes out and on and on

The flame sensor, which is located in front of one of the burner flames is probably oxidized and needs cleaning or replacement. If the unit can't "sense" the flame, it will continue to cycle.

Dryer wont stay lit

if the flame is liting most likely problem is bad air movement.go outside with thedryer running and check the hood to see how strong the air is blowing out,if there's a cage or anything blocking the hood remove it,if the vent line is a long run remove the vent line from the back of the dryer, stick a leaf blower into it and blow out the lint to the outside.also with the dryer unplugged, remove the bottom panel, remove the lint filter and metal duct the filter slides into, clean that out and blow out the blower wheel with a shop vac,you can blow out the gas tube where the flame ignites to make sure it's clean blow off the motor and the cabinet and vac up all lint that blows forwards.you can try running the dryer with the vent line removed to see if it runs any better.when the dryer first heats up the flame will come on until the temp. is reached and it will shut down, one more thing to check, when gas coils start to fail you'll have heat for like the first 15 to 30 minutes, then when the coils heat up the ignitor will glow but no flame, after the coils cool down they will work again.how are you running it on timed dry or more or less dry,if you run it on auto or more or less dry there's a sensor inside where the lint filter is,try cleaning it up or try running it on timed dry to see if it runs any different, when on auto the heat comes on,when it reaches temp. the heat stops and the timer will advance, when it calls for heat the timer stops and the heat comes back on,it will do this until the clothes are dry.your model has an even heat board in it that can also cause problems but if the flame is liting it sounds like you have a block somewhere.go here this will tell you a little more about your model dryer.

Jandy lite 2 pool heater will not stay lit.

I'm having the same issue as the above user with Jandy Lite 2 (which from what I can tell stands for the number of times that you can get this POS to work annually)!
The unit LIGHTS OFF, but WON'T STAY LIT! Igniter engages, gas valve opens, unit lights, burns for 10 seconds, and flames out. Error code FL 2, after third attempt, already replaced the flame sensor....

I have a Reddy heater 30-55,000 btu.. When lighting it I press in the initer for the recomended time but after I release it the flame goes out.. Can you tell me why?.

It seems as if you are not holding the igniter long enough after it fires, have you tried holding the igniter down for a few seconds more to allow the safety cut out to warm up, (Similar to the gas heaters, when ignited keep the flame going for the thermal coupling to heat up), If you do this and it still goes out the safety valve is faulty, but try holding it in longer before messing about with the coupling.

I have a gas dryer, model MDG7657AWW that will not stay heated. Every time I put it on, the flame comes on for about 21 seconds & then shuts off. I replaced the igniter, hi limit thermostat, cycling t

On a gas dryer the heat normally only comes on for 30 seconds or until the drum temp reaches 160f at which time the flame is shut down by the cycling thermostat. The drum temp then starts to drop. When the drum temp reaches 105f then another blast of heat is issued for 30 more seconds. That is how they work. Put it all back together and trow a load in there.

Igniter goes on blower runs for 30 seconds main heater flame ignites and burns for approx 30 seconds then it shuts down for approx 10 seconds and repeats the same sequence 3 times, then shuts down...

there should be a flame detector sensor. it is in the flame. this will need to be cleaned with a wire brush or scrapped with something to get the carbon build up off of it.
you will see something that in in the flame area that is kind of charred and black with a wire coming out of it.
this is designed to tell the unit that there is a flame present and if that flame is not there after serveral attempts it will shut it down. because it there was no flame there you would get gas fumes pumped into you house.
you could change it out or usually you can just clean it and it will work fine.

hope this helps

Goodman gms80903bna light blinks once fan runs all the time,

I believe this code is ignition failure.
Turn power off and after 20 seconds turn power on with thermostat calling for heat. Vent blower should come on first. After a bit igniter should lite up. You should hear click noise of gas valve open up. If igniter does lite and you hear click noise, flame should come on for a few seconds minimum. If igniter doesn't lite and you hear click noise from gas valve, igniter is bad. If flame lites and then goes out, flame sensor probably needs cleaned. Both igniter and flame sensor are in metal plate under burners. Igniter has 2 wire going to it and flame sensor has one wire. If you think it is flame sensor you can remove with taking it out with 1 1/4" hex screw. Flame sensor will have white film on it if it needs cleaned, clean with steel wool or a dollar bill. If it isn't weither of these it is gas valve or circuit board.

We are a bit confused by the device that you are using to heat the Hot water with- Is it an instantaneous HW heater?--
They are pressure sensitive-- Could it be, that your water pressure drops momentarily, (which causes the instantaneous heater to shut down its flame-- and you get a pulse of Cold water.)

If your hot water is a tank-- It is possible that something is cycling your hot water away-- like rinse pulses on the Washing machine)-- or your dishwasher?

Tell us more about the Rinnal Air Conditioners and what they have to do with Hot water and your SHower?

Tell us more-

My furnace wont lite

Problem: Your furnace will not ignite the gas to produce heat for your home. The following is the sequence of operation and probable cause:

1. Thermostat calls for heat. 2. Draft inducer motor starts. 3. Pressure switch attached by a small plastic or rubber tube senses the negative pressure produced by the draft inducer and closes. 4. Draft inducer runs for 30 seconds to a minute before you hear a gas hissing sound. The ignitor did not glow, the flame sensor (a small metal probe about 1/8" in diameter, with a white porcelain base) does not sense the flame, so after 8 to 10 seconds the hissing sounds stops with no ignition of gas to heat your home. Your furnace shuts down and goes into a lock out condition until you turn your power switch (or circuit breaker ) back off and on again. Then the sequence starts all over again with no ignition of the gas. Solution:You probably need to purchase and install a new ignitor. I would suggest that you inspect your ignitor closely for cracks. Make sure you do not touch the ignitor with your bare hands (use gloves). If you do not visually see a crack, then you could have a furnace control board problem or a limit, rollout switch problem. The furnace's control board might not be supplying the voltage to the ignitor. If your furnace lights and the gas stays on for 8 to 10 seconds, then shuts right back off, then you need to clean your flame sensor with light sand paper or steel wool. You might need a new flame sensor, but most of the time they can be cleaned an will work well after cleaning.
