If you are notusing your laptop on a flat surface, it may be obstructing the cooling vents onthe bottom of the laptop. Your laptop fanmay be faulty and not spinning freely, in this case replace the fan.
Check the fan and heat sink assembly and remove the dust, loosen the dust anduse a can of compressed air to clear away the dust. A laptop fanassisted cooling pad may solve your problem

Lenovo z570 not powering on

Measure the voltage at the AC Adapter plug, and see if it is within 5-10% of the rated voltage. If the voltage is not correct, then the battery will most likely not be charging, and the system will drain the battery and die in the middle of what it was doing...booting in your case.

You can tell how much voltage is remaining in your battery and if it is charging by checking the blinking of the battery status light.
Download the Hardware Maintenance Manual here:
http://download.lenovo.com/UserFiles/UserGuide/en/User%27s%20guides%20and%20manuals/Z370&Z470&Z570/Lenovo%20Z370Z470Z570%20Hardware%20Maintenance%20Manual%20V1.0.pdf
and go to page 30 and look at item 7 under battery status for blinking light meaning.
1. Blinking amber: (500ms off/1s on)
The remaining power of the battery is less than 5% of
its capacity.
2. Blinking amber: (100ms off/3.2s on)
The battery is being charged with the remaining
power between 5% and 20% of its capacity.
3. Amber: The computer is operating on battery power with the
remaining power between 5% and 20% of its
capacity

With the AC Adapter plugged in, and giving the correct voltage, If you are getting 1. Blinking Amber (light on for 1 sec, off for 1/2 second), then the battery is not being charged. Could be AC Adapter, Battery or Battery Circuit on motherboard. If the light is solid on 3. Amber, then the battery is not charging, and is draining.

Also make sure the power socket on the laptop is not loose or damaged. If it is, then it will need to be replaced.

I hope this gets you in the right direction.

I am using toshiba L395 T5800..after booting into vista os its getting my screen into black or blue colour within 10 min.i couldn't run my os.i have to switch it off and then have to start my lap..kindly...

Well, it could be the motherboard or the screen.
Plug an external screen in to the laptop and check. If it is still faulty, you have a motherboard error otherwise it is the screen.
There is a possibility, before we order a new motherboard, that you have a virus attacking the VGA ?Processor, so run an anti virus programme.
Hope that helps.

My screen is black it sound as if it is starting up but the screen stays black

The motherboard is cooked. There is a fix that might work breifly if you need to try and salvage your files. 1 power on. (lights and fan are running but nobodies home) place thelaptop in a bag for about 20 min. (it will get really hot) now hold down the power button unroll it is off. Now try booting. Sometimes holding down f10 as you power on helps.

96 explorer runs good for 5to10 minutes then looses power when cooled off does same thing did complete tune up and still does samething

First things first... Check vacuum. It should be steady at 18-22 in. Hg. (inches of Mercury). You'll need a vacuum guage...you can buy or rent one at one of the local parts stores. while the engine off, disconnect the Power brake booster vacuum hose and plug guage into the hose going to the intake manifold, (you might need a larger adapter to fit that hose, it should be in the plastic box along with other fittings)...

Start the vehicle and watch the guage over the course of 5-10 min. If the vacuum drops, you have a plugged exhaust system. If that is the case. You'll need to figure out if it's the muffler or one or more of the Catalytic converters.

My Acer Aspire 5920 gets very hot within 20-30 mins of booting it up with the fan running on high speed to cool it down, everything then slows down and it almost stalls. The sound is very draggy and sounds...

The heatsink vents and fan could be clogged with dust. Remove the dust etc from the vents/fan, may have to remove vent panels to get to the hearsink fan assembly.
If the laptop has vents on the bottom, use the laptop on a flat surface to get good airflow, or purchase a fan assisted base that gives boosted airflow to the bottom of the laptop.

Shutting off

i have the same problem...laptop randomly shuts down, but its even done it within a minute of turning it on so i don't think its a heat issue. Sometimes it'll run for over an hour with no problem and never shut down, but other times it randomly shuts down sometimes within a minute, sometimes maybe 10 mins, sometimes 30 mins or more ...its maddening! i'd love to find a solution if anyone's found one. Thanks.
