I was reading one of the Lutron Maestro accessory dimmer manuals yesterday, and it showed how that little light was also a fuse that you could remove to turn off power. I didn't read exactly why it has that fuse.

You might check your manual to see if that is the same feature on your accessory dimmer.

Amber light on then a while turns green but wont boot

1) Switch the system on. Can you tell me if the power button is flashing amber or a solid amber? Please also tell me if you notice any diagnostics LEDs staying lit - these are labelled 1,2,3 and 4 and are near the front headphone sockets
2) Please remove all peripherals at the back of the system and switch the system on. Does this affect the power button LED or diagnostic LEDs
3) Have you added any components to the system e.g. video cards, sound cards etc...
4) Please open the system and remove the following components:
a) Power and data cables from hard drives and optical drivesb) Any PCI/PCI-Express expansion cardsc) All memory from the systemd) The system fan
5) With the above removed, please reconnect the power cord to the back of the system and switch the system on. Please make a note of what happens with the power button LED and the diagnostic LEDs
6) If there are no changes to the power button LED or diagnostic LEDs, please remove the power cord from the back of the system and remove the following components:
a) I/O panel cableb) CMOS battery
7) With the I/O panel cable and CMOS battery removed, please connect the power cord to the back of the system. The system should automatically try to switch on. Do you hear any beeps from the system? If so, can you tell us exactly what you hear?
If you need any assistance with removing these components, please see the User Manual here: http://support.euro.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/op380/en/index.htm
Please keep us updated on how you get on!

My master dimer and companion dimer led lights went out and I can't turn the light fixture off. The light stays on but the switch does nothing. Do both switches need to be replaced or just one and how do I...

If you can't turn them off, then chances are that the dimming element within the master dimmer shorted. Some dimmers can get triggered by a hellacious bulb blow-out where a surge of current will ruin the semiconductors in the dimmer and, basically, short it out. If that's the case, I can't guarantee that nothing was broken in the companion, but zero dimming capability usually means the master dimmer.

Also, because its shorted, there's not voltage left around for the dimmer's to use to power up themselves - that's probably why the LEDs on neither device are turned on anymore. Replacing the dimmer should fix that.

ProLiant ML150 G6 and DL160 G6 (HP Smart Array B110i SATA RAID) does not support more than 4GB memory, (2GBX2 modules) or more added, it works fine with single 2GB module. Boot OS with single module and upgrade system Rompack to the latest version then upgrade B110i controller driver to 6.8.0.32. Shut down the server, add additional modules. It will work fine.

Put new batteries in exit signs but the status light wont stay on green...it will switch back to a constant red meaning charging. What would be bringing the power of a new battery down all the time?

is the unit battery only or battery backup? if battery backup, the system is draining the batteries as it has no source of power.. if battery only there may be a connection problem or a faulty unit.

Thank you for contacting Fixya.
You need to check the blinking times of the Paer jam LED. Then check the followings:
1. If the lamp is on, then ADF Switch is malfunctioning. Disble or short the switch.
2. If the lamp is off, then it is Flatbed or ADF Inverter error. Lamp inverter circuit is to be replaced.
5. If the Lamp is still off, then Lamp is to be replaced.
6. If the issue still persists, then you may have to contact the authorized Avision Service personnel for further diagnosis and suggested repair or replacement.
Hope the above information is helpful.
